Up 3 games... some breathing room. Need to take care of business against Memphis, so a loss to S.A. Thursday is bearable.

I actually think getting 2 over 3 is much more important in terms of first round match-ups than homecourt in second.

If we're 3, we'll beat the lakers in round 1, but it'll take way more out of us than a first round series should take.

Will there be threads on SA boards saying that they have no shot at a title because they lost to a bad team?

Not just a bad team, but for the third time in the last nine games the Spurs have lost to a lottery bound team.

So much for a championship opportunity in San Antonio. :sarcasm:

I guess coasting through the mediocre teams is more than just a Suns thing...

The Pacers played without Jermaine O'Neal, too. So, basically, that must mean that the Spurs are "garbage" and won't get past the first round.

The Valley so low.
Sad to say it (for the pocketbooks of all the players/owners), but the season is too long. They need to do something for interest's sake--maybe save all the cross-conference games till the last month or two?

As it stands now, the Spurs would play the Lakers in the first round. LA has won two of three from SA this year with the lone Spurs win in OT, when Kobe hit Manu in the face.

Could be an interesting matchup, if nothing else it could go longer than San Antonio would like for a first round series.

The problem is that I would be forced to root for the Lakers, and that would be hard...

Good news for the Suns. If they can win the final game against the Spurs, that will pretty much lock up the #2 seed.

You would be surprised, I remember I went over there to read a little bit that last time they lost against the suns way long ago.

I clearly remember quite a few calls for pops to be fired.

So sadly you are probably correct even though I am 99% sure you are trying to be sarcastic which makes it all quite funny.

:D

these loses shows that the spurs has a harder time beating young athletic teams.

I would like to see how they do vs dallas later this season.
