The Indianapolis Colts announced the signing of former Green Bay Packers cornerback Corey Ballentine on Friday. Ballentine, 28, spent the last three seasons with the Packers.
Over 37 games in Green Bay, Ballentine produced 54 tackles, seven pass breakups, two forced fumbles and an interception. He played 581 snaps on defense and 415 on special teams, including career highs of 488 snaps on defense in 2023 and 195 snaps on special teams in 2024.
Ballentine, who originally arrived in Green Bay on the practice squad in 2022, signed a one-year deal to return to the Packers for the 2024 season. He started seven games as an injury replacement in 2023 and produced seven pass breakups, ranking second on the team.
Ballentine is the second Packers cornerback to depart in free agency, joining 2021 first-round pick Eric Stokes, who signed with the Las Vegas Raiders. Robert Rochell is also a free agent, and Jaire Alexander has an uncertain future in Green Bay.
