Padres, Red Sox mulling Gonzalez trade (AP)

A person familiar with the talks tells The Associated Press that the San Diego Padres are having very serious discussions with Boston about trading All-Star first baseman Adrian Gonzalez to the Red Sox. The person, who spoke Friday night on condition of anonymity because talks are ongoing, says the Padres likely would receive prospects if a deal is finalized.
