3-0 Diamondbacks in the 2nd, Vazquez vs. Lawrence. Good start to this huge series.

6-0 Diamondbacks in the top of the 7th. Green and Tracy having big games. Javy pitching a great game. If they can get the win it should give the team some confidence.

DBacks rally to tie 5-5 and garbage Cruz Jr. takes possibly the worst angle I have ever seen on a flyball to allow the leadoff hitter to reach. Now 1st and 2nd with no outs. Hope they can get out of it.

The Dbacks score 5 in the top of the fifth and our pathetic bullpen gives up 5 runs in the bottom of the inning.

This is disgusting. I don't care what the hell they have to do but our bullpen needs to be fixed immediately

Cormier sucked tonight. What a roller coaster ride for them tonight. Hopefully this won't affect them tomorrow and Sunday.

I think the Peavy/Vargas matchup tonight will affect the DBacks more than last night's game. I'm already counting this game as a loss.

And can I say again how much Cruz Jr. sucks? Him and Gonzo's defenisve incompetence played a huge part in the Friars big inning last night.

Well, you know, Cruz has a bad back that affects his running and hitting. Geez, DL the sucker!
And Glaus is going to gamely play on through his painful knee, which affects his running and diving more than hitting, since a few weeks on the DL won't help.

Forget about trading either of these guys. Or Estes, or Ortiz. Yes, Voldemort stuck us with a slew of injured veterans again! It's freakin' uncanny how he does that.

Sad when Shawn Green is far and away your best outfielder. Phew.

I'd say Glaus is exactly what we should have expected, Green has been even better than expected. Estes was better than expected before the injury, so I'm not gonna complain there. That said, Ortiz and Cruz have been pretty bad.

Funny how some forget to mention picking up Clark was a great move. Also, right now Vargas looks like a very good pickup also.

Diamondbacks win and split the 4-game series with the Padres. Chad Tracy hits two home runs and Royce Clayton gets a big hit in the 9th that made it 6-1.

Great pitching by Halsey and Papa Grandre. It would be nice if Valverde can pitch like he has recently.

Finally, I think the Diamondbacks should keep Tracy next year and find a spot for him. The guy is showing more power than I thought he had, plus he has shown he will be a guy who will hit over 300.

I always thought Tracy was getting short shrift from a lot of impatient people. Now the only question will be, where to play him.

In some ways he's like Conor Jackson (without the stunning level of plate discipline, although Chad's OBP has always been more than decent) - a guy with a really nice high-contact swing, who has the style and build to gradually develop more power as he gains confidence and maturity; mediocre speed, but not a stupid baserunner, and so-so glove but willing to work hard. I won't be too surprised if casual fans get down on Conor when he comes up and doesn't knock the ball out of the park a lot.

I forget just how that was explained when they were specifically discussing Conor in the Futures game, but it made sense - it had to do with naturally covering the zone, bat speed, and reach, and how these types of guys just really shouldn't be pushed to hit for power because it will mess with their timing and mechanics and set them back, but just let them evolve and a great many develop power after they have 3-5 years of good contact hitting under their belt.

Right now I want Tracy at first base than Conor.
