Time to start thinking about keeping Delgado in the rotation long-term? One of the Three Amigos would have to be dropped. Kennedy, Cahill, or McCarthy...?

I personally am done with Kennedy.

The best thing about this game so far is Goldy hasn't done anything, everyone else has stepped up.
I like it!

How wrong I was about Delgado. I hope he continues to make me eat crow. :) Btw, I think Towers should look to trade Cahill or McCarthy, plus Kubell. Get rid of some of those bad contracts.

Read in AZ Republic today that Towers thinks ARZ could be a buyer and seller at the deadline because they have depth in OF and in the rotation. Names mentioned in the article were Kennedy and Kubel. Cahill and McCarthy could be candidates but both are still on the disabled list and the deadline is next week so I doubt they get moved.

I say 2 of those go. Barring Kennedy, I like what we've got right now

Prado really finding his groove. Again I'll say Goldy needs a few days off. He is lost at the plate and is pushing way too hard. Needs to rest his mind for a few games...
Parra is so great defensively, however, he too has become a serious liability at the plate... Bummer...
And don't kid yourselves - Ross still sucks and will now promptly go on a 2 for 30 streak...
We still need a legit bat in the outfield, desperately..

Cashner is pitching tonite for the Pods.. He throws heat and it much more of a conventional style thrower than Stults was last night - so maybe this is the game that Goldy finds his groove again...
Skaggs needs to go 7 plus to show he really belongs. Been too inconsistent as of late - which will probably cost him his starting slot to Cahill...

Skaggs will be lucky to go 3 1/3 after he leaves a couple of those junky curve balls hanging for Padre hitters to smash into Fridays.

We'll be lucky to only allow 8 runs while our pathetic offense musters 2.

A lousy 3rd inning from Skaggs leaves it 5-1, Pads. Two quick outs, then hides from Denorfia and it quickly goes south. Went from 30 pitches to 60 in a hurry.

Miggy Mendoza with the 1 for the DBacks.

This has been coming from Skaggs... He's been trending in the wrong direction the past few starts. He'll be back in Reno shortly... Hopefully, with some more seasoning he can find his control.

Skaggs entered today with a reasonable walk rate, basically equivalent to that of Corbin's. The Dbacks staff might see his 5 walks today as an aberration and give him another start, but right now he looks most like the guy that would get sent down when Cahill returns. Even though they should move Kennedy to the pen or something... anything to try and get him right.
