I mean seriously, after last nights performance was there ever a doubt that they would come out tonight and lay a gigantic turd?

Ouch indeed. Was there a corresponding move?

I haven't seen anything yet. Piecoro's twitter says they are still deciding who to bring up. He did say they want McCarthy to play in the Red Sox series next weekend.

Skaggs will be lucky to go 3 1/3 after he leaves a couple of those junky curve balls hanging for Padre hitters to smash into Fridays.

We'll be lucky to only allow 8 runs while our pathetic offense musters 2.

Almost predicted that accurately (in jest, obviously)

Well ****, what do I do now?

Put Sipp on the bus with Skaggs, but don't even let Hernandez on. Just tie a rope to a leg and drag him, that's all he's earned

Send Eaton's sorry a$$ back to the minors. He is terrible, especially with runners in scoring position. All he has is some speed, that is it.

Can't rely on any of our outfielders for consistent offense. And the same old story holds true, if Goldy isn't producing, we don't win... We are all about Goldy, with nothing else to offer...

Yeah, Eaton is our problem.

Did you watch the series? The guy can't do anything offensively and he had a couple of chances with runners on third and did squat. I like an outfield of AJ, Parra and Kubel. Stick with that outfield.

They said on TV that Goldy needs a rest and will probably do some DH'ing in the next six games -- inter-league on the road.

Didja see where Puig hit a walkoff HR in the 11th for the Dodgers -- a 1-0 victory, while we lost 1-0?

Yea... Been saying Goldy needs to sit for a few games for the past two weeks now.
Heard Pig won the game today... LA is on an epic run for sure. Hard to believe we are on 2.5 games back... Though, I'm pretty certain that number is going to be much larger very soon...

This was a bad home-stand and this upcoming road trip in my opinion is the biggest of the year.

Yes, I watch all the games. I look at the big picture, Eaton is not our big problem.

Not that its what cost us the game, but Matt Williams cost us another run today. There's no reason not to send Pollock home on that pop-up by Corbin. It takes an absolutely perfect throw to get out on that play, and the guy didn't make it. Odds were definitely in his favor.

Man on 3rd no outs and we cant score a run and only the pitcher can manage to get the ball out of the infield. Yeah Towers, this team is totally fine just the way it is. /rolleyes

With this team struggling the way they are offensively, Matt HAS TO BE MORE AGGRESSIVE when sending guys around third. We cant afford to be conservative. That's why I loved Eaton running through his stop sign the other night. I love Matt, but I have always thought he is far too conservative as a base coach. He thinks everyone is as slow as he is.

Disgusting and shameful. We may well finish in the cellar, the way things are shaking out.

I am so glad I went to the Cardinals practice and didn't watch or pay attention to this game.

Kubel was scratched yesterday due to a "stiff back"... What a massive disappointment he's been. Man I wish there was a way to unload his sorry arse...

It painfully obvious that we need a big bat in LF. Ross and Kubel are being paid a combined 13.5 Million this season for next to no power production.

It is interesting to see the RBI figures for the top 8 D'Backs so far this season.

GOLDSCHMIDT....85
...........................
...........................
PRADO...............41
MONTERO...........34
CHAVEZ.............32
ROSS.................30
POLLOCK............29
PARRA...............27
KUBEL...............27

These guys wouldn't have made a helluva difference.

UPTON..............47
YOUNG..............30

Only six more combined than Prado & Ross. Seven more than Prado & Pollock.
