But does he go on the Ring of Honor? I don't think so.

What about BA?

BA is the all time winningest coach -- probably

but Whisenhunt held that record until last week -- i dont think anyone was clamoring for him in the ROH

Palmer? i dont think so

I think Fitz will be back just for 1 more year to chase the milestones & help whoever the young QB will be. That’s what my gut is telling me.

I don't think we hear from Fitz until he knows who the coach is and gets an understanding of what next year's plan is. I think you could sell him on a Shurmur/Bradford/Keenum combo, or another offensive minded coach.

I think a DeFilippo may not have enough clout to convince Larry to stay.

Before your first knee injury..... I thought you were going to be one of the best at the position for the next decade.

So tough.... Such a pro.

Thanks CP. You will be missed.

To start another conversation...... Is he Ring of Honor material? I say no.

Discuss....

MJ says he's hearing Fitz will be back. I think if we don't hear a retirement announcement in the next day or two, he's coming back.

He is so close to passing TO, he has go to want that. I know I would want that badly. To finish just below the consensus greatest ever is pretty much all you could ever ask to accomplish.

Or he could play for like 5 more years and become the GOAT. (Me, making stupid wishes today)

I wonder. If we draft a first round QB (but like the 5th one off the board), fail to impress in FA with rejuvenating the OL, and bring in a defensive-minded HC, does Fitz still want to stick around? I think he sits back and waits no matter what he is feeling right now.

I think he sticks it out 1 more year regardless, just to take over as the #2 receiver of all time. As humble as Fitz is publicly, I think his stats and standing in history matters to him a great deal.

As far as FA, the team will easily clear up 40 million + cap space. We can beef up the o-line with solid veterans, sign a big time WR, cb, ilb. QB in the draft. This off-season better be impressive or we will all be sitting out next year

I don't think so either. Five years that were injury plagued, and while he was good, he didn't have the effect on the franchise or the community from a leadership perspective that Kurt Warner had. Kurt was just a cult of personality for the entire valley, it felt like, while I lived there. I don't get the same feeling talking to people about Palmer. He also didn't take us to the brink of a Super Bowl... he barely eked out a win in one game.

I'm a big CP fan and BA fan. This year's not off to great start but wish them both the best.

Now it's time to start looking forward to rooting for the "new" Cardinals and what that holds.

Agreed. He was a solid QB, but not spectacular save one season. That shouldn’t get you in an all-time ring of honor for a team, IMO.

I don't think CP gets into the ROH. Look at how long it took Jim Hart to get in.

Arians probably will though.

Thanks, CP. Was hoping you had one more year in you; but, you have to do what's right for you.

Am hoping Larry doesn't leave next. Do we have AP under contract next year? Larry and he have wanted to play together for a while. Am hoping that helps keep Larry around.

I appreciate what Carson did for the organization, but it was time for both sides to move on. Time to finally find a QBOTF.

Thanks for everything, CP! You exceeded my expectations and made me a believer.

Carson, you are a true professional. My wife, daughter, granddaughter and I were all there to watch you throw the pass to Larry that won the Packer playoff game. We'll never forget!!

You played your guts out.

Thank you
