Of course you can nit pick that line too but, can you deny that Palmer isn't an upgrade over every QB not named Warner since Warner's retirement?
No.. and if you do.. then I don't know what you've been watching since.
EDIT: Not even accounting for the fact of the WR corps experience in Arizona vs that in Oakland.. just sayin'
Well, isn't that the primary point of the post?
1. Jaws talked about Palmer
2. I watched all Palmer's INTs
3. Only a handful of INTs were Palmer's boneheaded errors.
4. Palmer is awesome.
Well, if 3 is misreasoned, that's a problem with the post.
I have no argument that Palmer is the best QB we've had since Warner retired, but that's not really the point of the post. Before Palmer, Kolb was the best QB we've had since Warner retired. Saying that this garbage stinks slightly less doesn't change what you're smelling.
After Fitz, I'm not sure there's much of a remove from Palmer's WR corps in Oakland to the one he gets here. As I've said elsewhere, I like Moore, Heyward-Bey, and Hagan.
EDIT:
It's also worth mentioning that Jaws "loves" Carson Palmer so much he rated him 23rd in the NFL. He rated him below passers that you could arguably in the same tier as Palmer. Lower than Sam Bradford (22nd), lower than Alex Smith (20th), lower than Josh Freeman (21st), lower than Andy Dalton, lower than Phil Rivers.
Honestly, when Palmer was traded here, I don't remember a lot of people complaining that Palmer throws too many picks. I'm not sure who Jaws is talking about there. I think that critics of Palmer are concerned that he hasn't helped his teams win too many games in quite a long time, and his QBR reflects that.
