Parkview basketball vs Summit Christian in Class 5 state semifinals: How to watch, live updates

COLUMBIA — Parkview basketball is making its first state semifinal appearance since 1981 and is a win away from reaching a championship for the first time since 1966.

The Vikings will have to go through Summit Christian in a Missouri Class 5 state semifinal game at 8 p.m. at Mizzou Arena in Columbia. The game is a part of the 2025 MSHSAA Show-Me Showdown.

Parkview got hot in February, playing up to high preseason expectations after struggling throughout January. The Vikings have a long, athletic roster that features Eli Govan in the post and Dassiah Green emerging as one of the better guards in the state.

Summit Christian was a Class 3 runner-up last season and has only lost once since Dec. 30, when it lost to Class 4 semifinalist Benton. Summit Christian features a pair of Division I-caliber guards, including Columbia commit Max Rieger, who averages nearly 22 points per game.
