BS.
You continually start arguments with your condescending, meaningless drivel. Feel free to add something to the board for once.

ahhh yess, sect 11 pads his post count once again with his long playing "pot calling the kettle black" act.

Actually I believe that you have that backwards ... people were saying that McCown looked great in practice and Parsons looked horrible.

Some people are practice players.

Some people are game players.

I'll take the game players.

Anyway, Parsons did exactly what I was hoping McCown would do. How excited would people be about McCown if he put it together like Parsons did last night?

But McCown didn't play badly at all. Sure he made some mistakes but he looked much more in control of himself and the game last night. Plus, he did good things against the Vikings top defense and that is encouraging to me.

As I sat watching McCown play, I got pumped for him. He has a nice arm and with more experience he can be more accurate with his touch.

Parsons played lights out last night and on top of that, the expression on his face was awesome...just a kid having fun playing a game.

I was nervous about the backup QB situation but I feel moderately better. I don't think the Cards will go out and get a vet backup at this point for a couple reasons. First, both guys proved they could play. Second, I doubt either could be snuck onto the practice squad...especially after last night.

Mac said it best: you have to be a young, inexperienced player at some point in your career. Last night was really needed. They looked good.

I think this debate is interesting, I don't think it's totally imature to talk about it. If you want to put it that way, probably talking about football all day on messages boards and using smilie faces is immature ;)

If I had to start either McCown or Parsons I'd pick Parsons. I think he plays better in game time situations when it counts. He looks like a "gamer" to me. He looked that way to me last year in preseason too. I think you do have to look at how players look in preseason to judge them. I always thought Shipp looked better in the preseason then either Pittman or Jones but because they got payed more Shipp never got a chance. Look how well he is doing now.

I hope the coaches are looking at the preseason games too. I hope they don't just ignore them no matter what happens I think that would be foolish

Every time Parsons has been given an amount of time to play in a game he has always out performed McCown; always.

The main problem we have is that we tend to have blinders on when it comes to Mac. McCown is his man just like Jake was last year.

Parsons should be #2 and McCown either #3 or on the practice squad. I have been around to many professional people to know when some shows better than another. McCown may have great potential, "But remember the road to hell is paved with good intensions.

Parsons is better right now and should be #2. End of Story!!!

I agree it won't be the end of the story; but it could become the end of Mac as our head coach!!!
