But McCown didn't play badly at all. Sure he made some mistakes but he looked much more in control of himself and the game last night. Plus, he did good things against the Vikings top defense and that is encouraging to me.
As I sat watching McCown play, I got pumped for him. He has a nice arm and with more experience he can be more accurate with his touch.
Parsons played lights out last night and on top of that, the expression on his face was awesome...just a kid having fun playing a game.
I was nervous about the backup QB situation but I feel moderately better. I don't think the Cards will go out and get a vet backup at this point for a couple reasons. First, both guys proved they could play. Second, I doubt either could be snuck onto the practice squad...especially after last night.
