PFF just put out a list of the top 5 most productive (pressures per snap) 3-4 pass rush OLBs this year....Houston was #2

FA Brandon Graham was #1

Took me by complete surprise. But as things stand, dude is a FA and got to the QB ALOT last year, despite only 6 sacks.


Hey, pressures are pressures, Id take him for the right price.


Although the element of surprise is probably dead now. Every other fan base is going "Get Graham!" now. So his price just went up. Although Im sure the teams FO already knew. Thats why they get paid, and us fans are in the dark.

Good read Harry. Thanks for posting. It seems to justify that we should not be too eager to post a 'bust' label on newly acquired rookies as pass rushers. It takes time to learn the right techniques to be able to excell in the pass rush, AND you need mentors who can show them these intricacies. Alex Okafor would seem to be a perfect example of this for the Cards. He has been slow to progress, (injury was partly to blame), but he is beginning to show signs of success. We have not really had a model pass rusher on the roster for some time, who was willing to take these rookies in tow and show them the finer points of pass rushing. Maybe now we can begin to make inroads towards improving in this area.
