Pat Riley steps down

Sports services are reporting that due to health reasons, Pat Riley is stepping down as head coach of the Miami Heat. Stan Van Gundy is slated to be his replacement and Riley will remain Vice President of Basketball Operations.

You have to believe that Lamar Odom feels ripped off much the same way Jermaine O'Neal felt. By most accounts Odom went to Miami because he wanted to play for Pat Riley. Of course the money probably didn't hurt.

They're also saying that Riley will still be president, or GM or whatever other title he holds, so I am sure he will still be around and have the contact with Odom, unlike the Pacers situation with O'neal
