...on the Jim Rome show.

Just caught the tail end. He talked about when he comes back the Cards don't have his rights, he'll be a UFA; addressed (sideskirted) Rome's Q's about Rice's comments; talked about how Tillman is always defying odds and meeting challenges.

He knows Tillman is in Iraq, but neither he nor Tillman's wife has heard from him in a couple of weeks (no news is good news).

Good interview from what I heard.

Didn't hear it

I was listening to Rome but made the safe choice, I turned it off before I could hear Rome say anything negative about the Cardinals. I didn't think Tillman or rather his agent would but Rome would certainly try to stir the pot. I personally don't see Tillman going through all that training and being part of something so big as he is in now see any worth into going back into professional football. You just don't turn your back on something as special as the family he has right now with the rangers, heck he never turned his back on the Cardinals. Class act and I hope he and a fellow ranger I know come back safe and sound, mission accomplished.

His agent said he did have an interest in coming back to football. Rome said nothing desparaging about the organization that I heard.

His agent sounds like a good guy and like he is a good friend to Tillman.
