Teams are staying away from Peterson more this season than they have his first four. He’s been thrown at 18 times through the first five games -- six of which came Sunday in Detroit -- according to Pro Football Focus, the fewest of his career by 10. He’s allowed just 133 passing yards in four five, the sixth best in the NFL this season for cornerbacks who have played at least 60 percent of his team’s defensive snaps. He had allowed 85 yards in his first four games -- an average of 21.25 per game -- before giving up 48 in Detroit on Sunday.

“That’s crazy,” Cardinals safety Tyrann Mathieu said. “That’s crazy. He covers the best receiver on every team and every team has a pretty good receiver.

Thanks for posting this, he has been overlooked because of the turnover friendzy by the safeties.

Almost wish Big Ben was playing this week so we could watch him and Antonio.

The only problem i have seen is that they keep putting PP on the teams "best receiver" regardless of their skill set or matchup with Jerraud. Jerraud has been getting toasted by the small/quick guys. JB needs to make the adjustment to switch in those situations.

Mathieu put it best:

“He had a slump season last year,” Mathieu said. “Have too many of those and people forget about you."

I think what's made #21 so much better this year is his body is leaner & dropped weight. He looks like a total different dude in his uniform this year, I didn't even recognize him at the start of the year.

I don't think any of us can understand what the diabetes condition did to him last season. Now that he has it under control, he's performing at the top of the game. So great to see as he is truly a fantastic leader and human being!

Way to go PP21!!!

Saw this article about him, but I thought it was from last year because he talked about his diet.

Yowza - could not believe, as a diabetic, some of the stuff he said he eats. 2 dozen wings, mashed potatoes, etc. I would think all that stuff sends your blood sugar levels thru the roof, lol

An example on just how much the cardinals ask of him.
