A big part of that is how good the team you are on is. Patrick has been a top 4 corner in the league basically every year since 2012 but hasn’t played on great teams all of those years.

Agree, and lightning can strike once or twice, but this kind of streak has been pretty rare and placed him in good company:

I forget which other players were included, but of the only players to make several consecutive Pro Bowls to start their career, there were about 7 other players. All but one made the Hall of Fame.

I love PP21, with that being said, maybe the 8 straight pro bowls were achieved by the PED's? Maybe it's time for the run to be over if he has to cheat in becoming a pro bowler?

No and that's not the point. The point is, the pro bowl hasn't been a barometer of NFL prowess for years. Do you honestly believe those players I mentioned were the best QB's in their respective conferences when they made it? The pro bowl is for the fans, nothing more and nothing but a payday for the players. The NFL really needs to ditch the game altogether. Being named All Pro is a bigger honor.

For a guy that was gunning to be spoken as highly as D. Sanders IT WAS A BIG DEAL.

To say he got to the pro bowl every year of his career and was noted as one of the best of his generation would carry him well beyond his career.

Now having been caught with PED's and masking it...those words will never be spoken without PED's being mentioned.

Typically only 2 corners make 1st team and 2 make 2nd team. Not exactly a lot of available spots every year.
