That doesn't mean they won't resign him, just that they won't pick up the option on the current contract. But I agree that it would be cool to get him back if for depth if nothing else.

funny funny

interesting how we got a proven Pro Bowl DE and they got a worthless G.

I know they got the 2nd round pick, but I'll take Chandler Jones in this trade rather than Coop and a 2nd all day.

Cards time is now

The Patriots ended up trading down with that pick to the Saints - the Saints selected Vonn Bell (FS - Ohio State) with the pick.

Don't ever doubt Bill Bellichek. He never does anything without there being a clear purpose for him and his team. I hate the Patriots but Bellichek is unfortunately an evil genius.

makes sense to not pick up the option...the salary is pretty high....on the other hand if he has a decent year and fits in with the team well,...they can always re-sign him later.

Saw him several times at clubs in Old Town while he was here. He'd show up with a large group, posse. Every time he showed up with his crowd, the club all of a sudden seemed to reek of weed. Not saying he was, but his group definitely was. It was then that I knew he wasn't fully invested.
