So sad to hear the news. Hoping for the best in a very difficult situation.

I am so sorry to hear that about Westy.

He has been one of my all-time favorites ever since he signed my younger
son's request for an autograph forty-five years ago as, "To Paul, from Paul."

I attended Westphall Davis basketball camp one year in 70s or early 80s. I sucked.

I went to Bill Westphal’s camp a few times in the 90’s. Paul used to show up for a few minutes and just kill everyone in pick up games.

I don't doubt it, he had a well deserved reputation as a non-stop competitor. And that was back when being competitive was still considered a virtue.

I remember me and my buddies watching him go up for a jumper, only to have a guy fly by to block him, and Westy would hold the ball a little bit longer, and launch seemingly on the way down on his jumper, and swish the shot! He did it so much, we were trying it on the playground during the summer. Paul Westphal, ruining our jumpers in Yuma! LOL!
