I absolutely detest the NE 59/50 hats ..... hat the flat brim and the stiff facing on the hat

I like more of the flex fit or slouch style hat

reebok made a pretty good hat as far as fit/feel ...... although anything other than the very basic design was generally flawed ..... that multi-colored stovepipe sideline hat last year was just one example

hopefully groups like twins enterprises and other mfgs will be able to put out hats or else I'll need to stock up on some older models
lol, I don't get that outlook. It's like buying pre-worn jeans

Ah

Except hats don't have to come stiff and the NE 59/50 really don't break in

You can get some bill bend, but the backing for the stitching on the facing of the cap always remains rigid and doesn't always blend well with the side/back of the hat

You can kind of see what i'm talking about in these pictures - the facing stands rigid straight up and down like a billboard and doesn't really slope with the head at all

the 39/30 isn't as stiff with the flat bill and the super rigid facing

I have this hat and it's by far the most comfortable I own

there is very little backing for the stitching up front so the structure is a bit more natural, it's light, feels great, fits great .... just love everything about it

the Rbk flex fit hats are similar to the 39/30 NE hats ... but IMO are a quite a bit more comfortable

also, NE tends to put a wider selection of their designs on the 59/50 - which is annoying

it's not so much "breaking in" as it's finding something that fits and is comfortable to start with and then breaking it in from there

the ending point with a 59/50 is way less desireable than the starting point with the twins enterprises franchise hats

I'm in the minority, but I LOVE the new style! New Era hats are the only hats I own and Nike clothing (to me) is more comfortable than any of the ADIDAS, Reebok, or UnderArmor stuff I own. Give it a chance guys lol.

I'm telling you, those flat brim caps are AMAZING on the golf course, and now I can rock a Cardinals hat! w00t w00t!

New Era makes a 39/30 cap that is flexfit with a shallower crown and less rigid structure than the 59/50. They are comparable to current Reebok caps.

On a side note, the 39/30 MLB replica caps are hard to find. You can't find one that looks like the caps worn during the game by players. Dick's had one that was bright red instead of Sedona red. I've found ones that were the right color, but the the "A" or "D" logo were the same color as the cap. So who knows what New Era is doing.

Flat brim and high front isn't new. In fact its a throwback to the original gimme caps. Except the cap isn't made out of a mesh fabric.

But Nike stuff is much better than what Reebok puts out. Glad to see the NFL switch but I wish they hadn't gone exclusive. Some of the best Cards gear I've owned came from smaller outlets.

Yeah ... The 39/30 is better but still not as nice IMO and the mlb selection is poor ..... The batting practice caps are standard with that style, but beyond that it's harder to find

after so many years of different style caps and shirts, I really do not see much a difference to go "oh wow" or "that stinks"...but I will give it a yawn :)

Never liked the flex-fit draft day caps, but liked that Reebok released the flat-brim fitted coaches cap. i'm looking forward to picking up some New Era Cards caps this season (supposedly teams should have about 10+ styles).

Did reebok?

I know all their jerseys were made overseas, all my rbk shirts are as well as is my cap

I believe RBK has one factory in the US that they contract with on their total apparel side ..... however, even in the US over half the apparel sold is made in Asia

I know I am in the screenprinting business. I have lost 7 customer due to them moving their facility over seas and in central america. What that major factory did was contract out business to other screenprinting shops in america. I know several places that print nfl apperal.

I'll say it, those hats are legit. After the ridiculous designs the NFL has put out over the years those are awesome. The draft hat with ARIZONA across the front rules.
