Pelicans visit the Suns on Friday for a scheduled start at 7 p.m. Arizona time.

It will be televised on FSAZ.

The Suns (12-50) broke their seventeen game losing streak with a 124-121 win over the Heat on Monday. Now they start a four game home stand.

Pelicans (27-36) conversely start a four game road trip starting in Phoenix. They have lost two games in a row with their last loss coming at the hands of the Lakers 125-119 on Wednesday.

Booker is questionable and TJ Warren is out.

Hopefully he violated the team rule on practicing too much.

I wish that were true but this is not the case.

Eesh. So when do we start being concerned about Booker's ability to stay on the court?

Or even Booker staying with the Suns.

Duane Rankin hinted in an article today that Booker may get fed up with the Suns if they do not improve. It's disappointing when the Suns beat writer starts talking about it.

In talking about Anthony Davis:

So, if you think he’s frustrated, imagine how Devin Booker feels.

Not only will Booker miss out on the playoffs for the fourth time in as many seasons, the Suns had the NBA’s worst record last season, they're currently at the bottom of the NBA cellar, and finally just ended a franchise-record 17-game losing skid Monday in Miami.

Booker has said Phoenix is his home and he’s determined to lead the Suns back to the postseason for the first time since 2010.

That sounds nice, but if the Suns keep losing in the years to come who’s to say Booker won't do the same thing as Davis and demand out of Phoenix?

It's just nonsense and a non-story AFAIC although I'm sure he's just parroting what he reads on places such as this. I think he's right, IF we go on losing for "years to come" he could become disenchanted and ask for a trade. But notice he said "years" and he said it in a way that suggested he meant well down the road. I think the same is true for just about any star. They might put up long term with a situation like Lillard is dealing with but bottom of the league? If we continue like we are, in 3 years or so, Devin will demand a trade. But if we are this bad for 3 more years, most of us will jump ship too.

BTW, if anyone is looking for this game, I believe it's on Friday not Thursday as shown above.

The game is Friday. Inadvertently I wrote Thursday although the date is correct.

Although Rankin may be ahead of schedule in writing this article, I don't think the topic is off base especially if the Suns do not make changes.

Unless the Suns move from Arizona, I will not be jumping ship.

Suns have control of Booker for five years. This is way too early. He can ask, but they can just say no. Book is not the type of player to dog it.

Here is a link to article about Josh Jackson missing the autograph session.

Beer anyone.

https://www.azcentral.com/story/spo...aph-signing-james-jones-fans-beer/3018494002/

I read about that the other day and meant to post something here but the only thing that I saw posted was people on Twitter and Reddit talking about it.

Just to give a brief summary for those who don't want to click elsewhere, apparently Jackson missed an autograph session at Fry's on 20th Street & Camelback. James Jones ended up showing up and telling people Jackson wouldn't make it but they would mail them autographs and tickets if they give their info to the team staff that was there. To make it up even more they offered free beer to everyone there and I guess they picked up the tab on all beer purchases up to a 12 pack but only covered 2 specific brands, so the people that showed up got free beer and they'll be getting tickets and autographs in the mail soon. Jones didn't say why Jackson couldn't make it up but I guess a ton of people got free beer.

But, as the anointed team leader, he sets the mood for the rest of this young team. Remember when the Suns announced that Booker would be included in the Front Office discussions of new players. As a teenager IIRC.

Sporadic, inconsistent proclamations and assignments. There is a word for that kind of (Front Office) behavior. Bi-polar. The only things that has been consistent on the Suns are Sarver, chaos and losing. Sarver, chaos and losing!

Supposedly within about an hour JJ posted on Instagram he was having lunch with a friend at Fogo De Chao.

I wanted to make that meet and greet with JJ, good thing I didn't invest any time or effort into it.

It sounds like freebies might be better than meeting Josh Jackson especially if he didn't want to be there.

My son and I are worried this escalates into a Bledsoe "I don't want to be here" moment.

Some can say it won't happen, but once Booker asks to be traded, there is no way to put the genie back in the bottle.

If the Suns don't play well next season, I wouldn't be the slightest bit shocked if Booker asks to be traded. It will be Booker's fifth season. The Suns last three seasons have been particularly bad.

I'm hoping the Suns have their act together next season. It gets old hearing all the excuses.

It's too bad the event didn't happen.

One of the highlights of my being a Suns fan was meeting Kevin Johnson in a meet and greet.

I don't think that's what we're saying. Of course it can happen but it just doesn't mean anything right now. And IMO it would be foolish for the organization to allow this possibility to influence their decision making.

What the Suns need to do with Booker is be 100% transparent and honest with him. That means sitting down and saying "Hey, so we screwed up the last offseason by not getting a point guard. Once the season started, there was no way to get a good one without hurting our long-term plans. We realize this screwed us and you over this season. We screwed up, we know we screwed up, we owe you and everyone else an apology. We absolutely love you, we want you to be a Sun your entire career. We know it's been a bumpu ride so far, but that is changing. Here is what we are going to do next offseason..."

If the Suns plan a prolonged rebuild, they better think about.
