I think coaching is the more immediate issue with the team, but I could compile a list of big men that were available for the minimum that might have helped the team. However with all due respect, I'm not going to do the homework for you. I mention the players when I see them on the forum.

Thomas Bryant was had for a swap of second round picks.

I get it, I agree that we need help and I don't knock you at all for wanting the team to leave no stone unturned... but 99.99999% of the time, if there is a dude out there, unsigned, at this point in the season, he isn't going to help and is unemployed for a reason.

If I had to make a wager, I think it's more likely that the dude on the Mavs isn't even in their rotation, might not even be on the roster, as soon as they get any of their many injured front court guys back.

I’m not sure what moves they’ve made along the way that have yielded anything positive.

We’ve scraped the bottom of the barrel and gotten bottom of the barrel results.

If you’re referring to the jazz pick trade, that was just digging the hole deeper. We gave up a future pick that we will desperately want back when 2031 rolls around for some heavily leveraged picks that we quickly figured out are essentially worthless as trade pieces.
.
Trading the 31’ pick doesn’t look good right now but six years is so far off that we really have no idea how things will look. Six years ago we didn’t have CP3 yet. Even Brooklyn turned it around pretty quickly after the KG/Pierce debacle.

Brooklyn ended up conveying multiple top 5 picks, including a #1 overall, as a result of that KG trade. Boston built their title team from that trade.

Let's not look at the odds. The Suns should have been kicking the tires on every available big man this season especially when the Suns decided not to play Nurkic.

The Suns got Cam Payne out of the G-League.

There is a lot of talent out there. Some of those skeletons, as James Jones might put it, can play.
