He is going to cause trouble in the locker room.

From everything I have read he is a pretty good locker room guy and his teammates like him. His problems stemmed from outside the locker room.

Beasley was a throw in for a Pau Gasol trade. The trade didn't fall apart based on Beasley's inclusion or exclusion.

No, I think he is referring to a trade in which the Wolves were getting Jamal Crawford and Fisher for the Beas. A real haul right there.

Basically the Wolves tried to give him away for nothing... and failed. Quality.

The Wolves would have gotten the Lamar Odom exception and one of the 2012 first round draft picks from the Lakers who owned their own and the Mavs pick. The Wolves declined and Lakers made other moves.

The pick was going to the Blazers who gave up Crawford. While the Wolves got Crawford and Fish... in a dumpster dive.

One thing with Beasley... when we substitute Warrick into the game for him, the defense won't fall off as much as it did before. Yikes, I just imagined a front court of Beasley, Warrick and Frye... I advise you not to try it.

seriously, our starting frontcourt is going to be so bad defensively. God forbid something happens to Dragic and we start Marshall at PG.

Let's see which stat sheet would you like to see...

19.2 points per game, 5.6 Rbs per game, .366% 3s, .450% FG - 32 Min per game Beasley as a starter

13.2 Points Per game, 4.2 Rbs per game, .395% 3s, .484% FG - 30 Min Per game Hill as a starter w/Nash

Half of those stats for Beasley came as a power forward, which severely diminishes the rebounding. And compared to Grant Hill, Beasley is about as defensively imposing and a gust of wind.

Oh, and Grant scored his 13 points on 10 shots, while the Beaz required 18 to score 19, offensively he was far more efficient than Beasley... even in the compared seasons.

I could have sworn I heard that Beasley's third year was only partially guaranteed while listening to Gambo the other day. Anyone else hear that? Is so, the contract looks even better.

I haven't heard anything, but I'm waiting until I see how all the contracts are laid out before I judge this offseason. If there is only a partial guarantee on the last year then combined with the other moves I think it's been a pretty solid offseason. Of course this is assuming they don't blow a ton of money(and years) on Lopez and the remaining FA SGs.
