They talked about it on their radio show and had callers call in with guesses. He was listed in the media guide and other official papers as having a playing weight of 338 last season.

They said they had heard that number (396) from several independent and reliable sources so they had reason to believe it is accurate.

:shock::shock::shock:

I hope Deuce likes moving his family out of Az because it sure appears he will have a new address come next season at the latest.

Hey BIM, do you know what hour of the program that was in? XTRA has podcasts by show/by hour and I'd love to hear that segment.

Man, this offseason might just have screwed his entire career. A tsunami of stupidity washed over this kid.

Thank God we didn't count on him alone, and got Hadnot and Faneca.

I guess that answers the question about whether he was working out or not on his own while waiting for the contract issues to fix themselves.

I would have loved to seen John Lott's reaction to that.

I think this guy just gave up after we signed Faneca and Hadnot and didn't give him a big contract.

I thought I read somewhere that he had a close family member pass away and maybe its possible he was suffering from severe depression? This is crazy to gain a 60lbs in one offseason...

I hear Oakland is looking at him to play QB.

Not a bit surprised as i said it a long while back upon his not showing up at ota's.
That is what he thinks of his career. I assume he will be on a very short leash and Lott and Co. will work hard to get him back into shape, but getting from here to there now is almost impossible. No excuses for "working out" at the chow line.

Make that independent and reliable and unidentified sources.

(Where there's smoke, there probably is fire, and I'm not sayin'/I'm just sayin' - But info from Jurecki based on unidentified sources he "had reason to believe was accurate" doesn't nail it).

I may be wrong but I think it was his Dad, or a father figure type guy?????

But him being close to 400 lbs. is not anything new. He comes into OTA's at about that weight almost every year to start OTA's. The difference is though that he comes in at that weight for OTA's 6 weeks ago, not now, 6 weeks till training camp.

If he doesn't come in at 350 or under it will be a huge disappointment, in the coaches dog house even further and I think we start to look for a trade partner if at all possible.
