Seems like a lot of a-holes on here owe Deuce an apology. Get used to it now: he's gonna be starting.

I am not ready to exhonerate him just because he passed a fitness test, him coming in that out of shape is going affect his ability to play at his top level...

This certainly is not a given. While Lutui was holding out and waiting til the last minute to sign his tender, the team signed a pro bowler in Faneca and added another solid player in Hadnot, who all were active in OTAs. And Wells, a mainstay on the line for years, is still here. In addition, Lutui still weighs 360.

Competition is heavy for the guard position(s) and that's the way it should be.

and add to the fact Boss Hog (Russ Grimm) wasn't even talking to him from the reports I heard. No doubt that Deuce is the best man for the job, but he's gonna have to earn it!!!

I'm looking forward to seeing Lutui and Keith working together. The right side of the line is going to be nasty!

Doesn't sound like Wells is acquitting himself very well:

It's tough for the offense to function sometimes with Dockett blowing up plays. He drove right guard Reggie Wells into the backfield on one play, sending Wells flying into quarterback Matt Leinart, who hit the FieldTurf surface at the 16,000-seat Walkup Skydome. Dockett expanded his offseason training regimen to include pushing his Cadillac for 30 to 40 feet at a time, with 2-minute breaks between sets (former Seattle Seahawks tackle Walter Jones used to push around a pickup truck as part of his training). Dockett said it's "no sweat" matching up against 340-pound offensive linemen after pushing around a vehicle weighing several thousand pounds.

It's time for people to start getting used to the idea that Reggie Wells just isn't that good anymore, and likely won't be with the team next year.

One play....against Dockett....98% of the O-linemen cant stop him.

Relax man, your homie Lutui will get a fair shake. But the bottom line is he is going to have to work harder than ever to keep that spot. He unequivocally did himself no favors this offseason.

I do agree Wells isnt great but it's about competition this year. Whoever Grimm and Whis throw out there, I will be satisfied.

Douce should keep those pounds, and add a hairdo like Domata Peko from the Bengals

.
My new nickname for Dockett is: "The Monsoon" because he is ready to tear the roof off in this mother...!
