Would it be worth it if Mosley wants $16 mil?

Thats too much for most any position.

Sorry guys. I am a super kool aid drinker but this signing does nothing for me. Super meh.

Not a needle mover, just a great locker room guy who will still produce on the field on a low price budget.

meh. I'll be surprised if he's not a starter. You don't go out on the first day of FA and pinpoint depth/rotational guys.

Unless you already had a framework in place and this was just making it official. takes no effort.

My guess is that he is starting his retirement a year or two early.

Glad to see Suggs back home though.

Seven sacks in 2018 and 11 in 2017

Code:
Season Team G GS Tack Ind Ast Sck SFTY PDef Int Yds Avg Lng TDs FF
2018 Baltimore Ravens 16 16 34 25 9 7.0 0 6 -- -- 0.0 -- -- 1
2017 Baltimore Ravens 16 16 49 37 12 11.0 -- 4 -- -- 0.0 -- -- 4
2016 Baltimore Ravens 15 15 35 28 7 8.0 -- 4 -- -- 0.0 -- -- 3
The important numbers there in my eyes were that he played 16 games each of the last three years

It’s a 1 year deal for a situational, well respected veteran player. He will be what Dwight Freeney was for us and then some.
I'm sure they're not signing him to play freeney snaps, he will more than likely be on the field on most downs. It was said earlier on free agent frenzy (NFL network) that suggs is really good at preparing his body for the rigors of a season. Went on to say he will teach teammates the same things.

Imo, C.J Mosley is the one FA the cardinals need, no matter if it costs that much or not? We need a monster tackling machine ILBer & the draft isn't deep at that position. The Cardinals should only spend the most money on FA players that play a position of need that isn't deep in the draft. They have 10 picks in the draft as of right now, subtracting the 6th rd pick owed to the Steelers for Gilbert. 16 million for Mosley is rather high but he's still young & we could get some mileage out of him. That would leave around 23 million left for other players if 16 million is what it takes to sign Mosley?

Holy **** 7 million! At least it's a 1 year deal that won't haunt us in 2020.

Honestly, I think Suggs will do just fine for us. Don't forget we have Brooks Reed as well, who is a good run stopper to complement Suggs.

And the most important thing imo: If we draft Bosa, Suggs would be a great mentor. They are similar players, and Suggs could help him with preparation since Bosa's only slight knock might be durability.
