For every Larry Fitzgerald, there were 10 Levi Browns or Matt Leinarts.
As opposed to Keim who's had, so far, a 100% miss rate in the first round?

He loves beating that drum too & I don’t know why.
Graves, along with Fitz and PP, drafted the following:

Jake Plummer
Corey Chavous
Anthony Clemment
Michael Pittman
David Boston
LJ Shelton
Kyle Vanden Bosch
Adrian Wilson
Q
Fitz
Karlos Dansby
Darnell Dockett
Antron Rolle
JJ Arrington
Deuce Lutui
Leonard Pope
Steve Breaston
DRC
CC
Tim Hightower
Dan Williams
Daryl Washington
Andre Roberts
PP
Bobbie Massie

All players who were great to serviceable here. This doesn't count the players who were drafted here and had great to good careers elsewhere like Leonard Davis, Thomas Jones, Alan Branch, Antonio Smith, to name a few. Meanwhile, in 6 drafts, so far Keim has netted us, pretty much, DJ, Baker, and the jury is still out on last years draft(but talking about trading Rosen). The rest are gone.

Yes...but you could also argue that the Seahawks have never given Wilson great receivers and good pass blockers.

Plus I think Murray is going to be a better pure QB than Wilson. He throws a much better ball

There was little problem with either personnel groups when they went to the SB.

I LOATHED the snail, but the dude drafted Q, Fitz, Dansby, Dockett, Campbell, Peterson, Washington (who was a stud but an idiot), DRC, Massie... but jeebus... after just looking back at those almost ten years, those were pretty much the ONLY really good picks he made. Yikes.

Don't have the wherewithal to look at Keim over the last 5 years, but it's probably not pretty considering how many holes we had to fill in FA this year.
That's my point. Graves, while not exactly Bill Polian, is Polian compared to Keim. I mean, it's just as hard to have a near abysmal draft record as it is to have a great draft record. And Keim's is near abysmal, especially in the first round.

Bro that's just crazy talk.

Kyler Murray is the best player in the draft.

He was the single best player in college football last year and his impact in the NFL can be real.

Find me one credible top #50 prospects that has him #1.? And there is simply no correlation between winning the Heisman and a productive NFL career.

And who was head of scouting ?

PFF mentioned (podcast) him as being #1 on their board as of this week..."no more discussions about it".

They said both. Debated if it would be the Cardinals, Raiders, or Giants picking Murray at #1 but he would go #1. They then backed off the Giants due to Gettleman's history.

They also said Murray is now their #1 prospect ahead of Bosa and Q. They said "no more discussions about it"...he is their #1 player on draft board.

I am not saying I agree...just listened to the podcast today.

You are giving Graves credit for players that Bob Ferguson drafted, he ran the Cardinals as VP and GM from 96-2002

Stop it! Please don’t compare Bosa to the dominance of those two.

In the college game they were similar, tape and stat wise. Albeit Bosa is more closely aligned to Mack than Garrett when you look at the production, and that's all we have to go off at this stage.

Graves didn't really know players, he wasn't a scout, he was more of an administrator from what I've heard.

The Fitz draft was all Green, he had full personnel control when he was with the Cardinals. Green really only had one really good draft, but it was good . Fitz, Dansby, Dockett, and Antonio Smith.

2003 produced Pace, Boldin, Hayes, and Wells. That's actually not a bad draft. Pace was much better as a OLB.

Pace was a good player that should have been kept and extended here.

I mean, the reality is that draft should have gone 1) Suggs 2) Boldin 3) Hayes.

That would have been tied with the next season for best draft ever.

Same story different player. He got a massive contract (for that time) from the Jets. He only had 10 sacks once in his career...solid guy but not great.

Should have drafted Suggs. And Peterson. And...:)

It is funny that before the Murray hype train began and when he first declared PFF had him after Bosa Q and others. Now he is their #1. Weird how that works.

So do you think people are incapable of using this time in the offseason to go back and watch film of prospects?

Or is everyone’s draft board just supposed to be completely set after the season ends?

Lol of course not. Just pointing it out. But its not like these guys weren't scouting this guy his entire college career.

True. But a part of me feels as some of this is a bit of an over correction due to many being wrong on mahomes and mayfield. Although PFF did have Mayfield #1 the entire time. So who knows

Football people are starting to understand that guys coming from the spread can make it in the NFL.

The same mistake was made on Aaron Rodgers coming out too.
