I got very frustrated with the camera work by FSN on Mon. It seemed like after every Nuggets basket, the camera would show a closeup of the shooter or a reaction shot from the bench.

But his is the Suns. By the time the camera idiot got around to showing the game, the Suns were taking a shot. Not just once or twice, this happened over and over.

I don't get it. Everybody in the NBA knows the Suns push the ball after made baskets and try to score before the other team can get set. Everybody except the idiot doing the camera work for FSN. I could almost understand if they were doing camera work for the Nuggets, but this game was in Phoenix.

To be frank, I'm not interested in reaction shots while the game is on. It feels like an affectation, just like weird camera angles. Save that junk for blowouts.

I have had that complaint for years.

I hate it when they are showing the coach or an individual player when the ball is being brought up. With teams like the Suns you are very likely to miss some of the action.

SHOW THE GAME.

I guess if it really bothered us we would go to the game and then we could watch whatever we wanted. :)

I think it's sports television directors who couldn't make it in Hollywood, so now they try to overdirect a basketball game.

I've yelled about this so much, my T.V. has finally turned a deaf ear.

I was tired of looking at George Karl's ugly mug. They also missed some free throw attempts because they were showing Karl yell at the refs or a replay of a play that happened a few possesions ago.

It bothers me too, but you get the same thing when the Suns crew is handling the broadcast. You'd think that at least the Suns guys would have had it figured out by now.

Some game a few weeks ago, Nash made an alley-oop pass from midcourt to either Stoudemire or Marion, I can't remember which. Apparently it was a great play, but even though I was watching the game, I've never seen it. The cameras were too busy getting crowd reaction shots or some other nonsense.

It's worth pointing out, however, that the problem isn't actually with "the cameras." There is someone in the control booth deciding in real time which shot to broadcast at which moment. The various cameras are running constantly, each assigned to a different task (follow the ball, look at the coach, find cute girls in the stands, etc.). That's why usually it's possible to see something on replay even after it wasn't shown live. (I guess no one caught the half-court lob, unfortunately.)
