I'm still kinda disappointed Fitz didn't blow up Sherman both times, because Hawk WRs would've done the same to PP IMO & I guarantee you the Niners don't slack off whacking #11...it's football.

This is completely irresponsible. Keep playing football that way. It wont even be in the top 3 sports in popularity once all the stars are slobbering all over themselves and have to wear adult diapers. This game used to be played with no helmets. Players used to hit smart, wrap up and tackle. I miss technique.

This whole notion of "blow the guy up!" is ruining the sport IMO.

Like head slaps and clothes line tackles? :D

But you are right most analysts credit the numerous highlight shows, ESPN, NFL Network etc., now with players looking for the big hit instead of making a solid tackle.

No, football is making a technically sound (and effective) block without taking a cheap shot and intentionally trying to hurt someone. Larry showed you can do your job and make a play without getting a penalty, a fine, suspension or just flat out being a dirty ass player.

Just because other guys do it doesn't make it right. I'll take Larry everytime.

I just don't like the praise coming from Pete Carroll.

Props to Fitz for not risking himself or Sherman, using proper technique, and making the play.

Good article, thanks for posting the link.

Unfortunately I hate Pete Carrol a little less. Now I would walk across the street to urinate on him if he was on fire :)

I think that Fitz and Sherman are pals or something. Larry was at some charity thing Sherman put together.

I really don't have a problem with Carroll as a coach, He tore that entire team apart, got rid of everyone, especially the "stars" and built that team pretty much through the draft. He always says the right stuff, what gets me is the sideline antics. I suppose it wouldn't bug me if he were the Cards' coach and winning.

Sometimes I wonder if that is what the Cards need to do. Trade everyone for massive amounts of picks. Hmm maybe just the offense.
