Kendall blamed himself for all three of the fumbles.

"I made three mistakes, three critical mistakes, and they turned them into touchdowns," he said. "Basically, I gave them 17 points tonight. It's embarrassing. I feel horrible."

Pretty telling indictment of the ineptness of the Cardinals organization.

Getting back to the original title of this thread... :D

The Falcons beat Kendall like a rented mule. Hopefully, Bickley and the other Kendall jockers saw the game and we won't have to hear anymore about how much better our O-Line would be with mighty Pete anchoring the line.

Kendall must have thought he was back in Arizona with Martin getting 28 yards on 14 carries.

He might have thought he was Step last year against atlanta when Coleman was toying with him the whole game.

Step was playing in his 3rd NFL game. He isn't the 10-year, supposedly all-world, vet that Kendall is.

Aye, but Step has just as many pro bowl appearances as the mighty Pete Kendall

And Kendall hasn't played C in 22 games and is playing with a 42 year old QB and a new LG who had 3 NFL starts in his career before last night. and Kendall took full responsibility for the mistakes.

Nobody has ever once said Kendall was all world that's just a complete exaggeration and a strawman argument.

And I'm not sure why Step making his 3rd start was relevant, the claim here seems to be Kendall sucked and cutting him for Step was the right move, so Step should have been ready to play immediately if it was the right move.

I mean let's not forget the first year starting QB was making line calls last year because Step couldn't, we couldn't use the shotgun because Step couldn't handle the snaps, and the consecutive games against the Pats and Falcons at the beginning last year Step was positively embarassed by the opposing teams. It's not drafting Step that was the problem, it was playing him when he was completely unprepared to play that was the problem.

kendall played like crap last night, still doesn't mean starting Step from day 1 last year was a good move, it cost us chances in games early in the season.

"fans" have been crying about Green cutting Kendall forever.

Kendall has shown he stinks at center and wasn't worth much more at guard.

He only gave up 4 sacks in the past game...and hasn't done a darn this entire season.

give it up. Green was right to cut Kendall

I thought hijacking a hijacked thread was returning the thread to its former glory :D

I'm not defending how Kendall played last night I'm merely saying that how Kendall played last night has nothing to do with whether or not Step was ready to play when we cut Kendall. Clearly Redsz doesn't think he was or he wouldn't have excused his game against Atlanta last year as being just his 3rd start.

Kendall sucked last night, the title of this thread is accurate based on last night.

Yes, normally. But when a hijacked thread's former glory pales in comparison to its current glory, all bets are off the table. :D
