Drafting is obviously an inexact science. Look at Stephen Williams.
And Williams is far from a HOF'er at this point, though he looks promising.

I am coming around on Hall. However, I still think we are jumping the gun a little bit. We are already acting like he is a franchise QB. He still hasn't taken a snap in a real NFL game.
Peter King is usually the kiss of death though. Didn't he pick Jake Plummer as his preseason MVP like 9 years in a row?
If for some reason Hall doesn't become a starter in this league, it won't be because of his size...
But I do see this kid getting his shot one day - maybe this year - and when he does, there will be no turning back. Once he steps into that roll, he'll hold onto it for a long time to come.
Remembering Kent Graham going down...... Jake Jake Jake Jake Jake.......... Max Max Max.........

How is it this guy was missed by all 32 teams for 7 rounds in the draft?
I'm excited that we may have found a QBoF. We know QB D anderson si not the answer. Don't we?
Not true. That was never said of Leinart. I have to admit though, that I thought Plummer had "it". Turns out that Plummer couldn't avoid the boneheaded decisions he made.
Who? Pete Carroll?
Leinart wouldn't have missed the checkdown.

Even though Hall doesn't display a cannon arm, there is a big difference between some decent NFL arms based on footwork. A QB that will go unnamed wouldn't have the right footwork and launch a deep ball that lands 5-10 yards short.
Max Hall, has great footwork and knows how to put momentum behind his balls. Add in quick recognition, and suddenly a mediocre arm can make throws like a pretty strong arm. Hall consistently puts what he can on his throws, meanwhile some other qb's don't, and their mediocre arm strength drops down to pathetic in those scenarios. Hall has little drop off because of how he can get himself almost instinctively into the right position to throw. I love that.
I found this spot on in the article.
"True story: Whisenhunt was likely to keep Leinart around this year, and to keep Hall on the practice squad for the year, until he saw him in offseason camps and in this summer's training camp. He thought Hall was certainly ready to play now, and more suited to run the offense than Leinart was after three years in Whisenhunt's offense."
