So am I!!! One thing that you can never take away from Jake Plummer is his heart. He has given so much of himself and money to this community, more than most who could afford to do the same. God bless you Jake.

The NFL really sucks on this one!!!

On NFL Total Access this morning, they discussed this issue. Rich Eisen said they'd received tons of mail supporting Jake in his attempt to have the Pat Tillman Foundation named as a recipient of annual NFL fines.

In addition, when Jake wore the sticker last weekend, Tony Sichenzio, a day trader from New York who survived 9/11, told Plummer that if he defied the NFL and honored Tillman he would donate $100,000.00 to the foundation.

Jake has always been a leader.

You might be right. I am the person that created the website. I have been a Broncos fan since the mid 80's, so you know who I will be pulling for the next time the Cards and Broncs play.

Like most Americans, I not only learned of Pat Tillman's death, but also some of what he did before he died in combat. The fact that he turned down a $9 million contract to stay with the Cardinals where he would make less than half of that. How he walked away from his multi-million dollar contract to enlist in the Army.

If Jake, a former friend and team mate, wants to honor him by wearing the number 40 on his helmet, the league should let him. They already set the precedent for the sticker during week 2 when every player in the NFL wore it. The longer the NFL fights this, the worse they look.

If only a few hundred people (over 100 have in a few hours) sign this petition, it won't mean much, but if that number starts to grow much larger, then the NFL will start to pay more and more attention.

Anyway, I read an article this morning about a groundwell of support forming for Jake Plummer. Since I am on vacation this week, I started this by registering a new domain and setting up a web hosting account today and then posting on the denverbroncos.com forum. From there, it has started to spread. I would appreciate all of you spreading the word to others, since that is the only way people will find out about the site.

Thanks for the support.

Billy
Please feel welcome to use the Stick It image on your web site if you feel it will help make a visual impact. Or I'd be happy to do something else for the casue

That picture and a thousand words thing makes sense sometimes. :D

I'm a bit swamped today, so if anybody is in touch with this person or site, please let him know. Thank you.

I hate to have to be the one to bring this up but... has anyone checked out the Pat Tillman Foundation web site? There is no indication where the money goes. It says they will decide in 2006 who they will fund.
