24. Arizona Cardinals
Rank: Pass Blocking = 32nd, Run Blocking = 8th, Penalties = 7th
No surprises that a team sporting Levi Brown at left tackle has the lowest-graded offensive line in pass protection. Brown’s gargantuan -27.7 pass blocking grade puts all others to shame. The biggest disappointment hasn’t been Brown; that was expected. No, it’s Daryn Colledge who has failed to justify the money given to him outside of a dominant display against the Rams

I will argue that Colledge in the later part of the season has started to live up to his signing. It is the fact that all our OT are average or below that makes this OL have problems. Average does not cut it when you have to block the biggest athletic guys on the field known as premier pass rushers

You can argue it as much as you want, Colledge has been a total waste of money by any measure.

I thought Colledge played well the first 5 or 6 games but it seems like he has gotten worse each game since then.

I think he's been better and more consistent then AZ's recent LGs, while learning a new scheme.
I'm pretty pleased to how things are shaping up so far.

I guess I haven't noticed Colledge being bad but that may be skewed by the horrendous play of Alan Faneca and Reggie Wells before him.

We should have just left Levi at RT where he was doing fine. I would love to see us re-sign him to a new five year contract and put him at guard. Then draft Riley Reiff at LT and sign a RT in free agency. I think that takes care of the line pretty good for the time being.

And then people wonder why our QBs get happy feet. We have the worst pass blocking OL in the league.

I think that he has played pretty average. He is a better run blocker than pass blocker. He plays next to a very bad LT. He is learning a new system. We overpaid, but we needed a vet to step in immediately and contribute. If you look at the Cardinals OG situation in Colledge/Hadnot/Lutui in a bubble, you can see that David DeCastro might be the best pick for us in the 1st round of the draft.

Colledge IMO was a good signing....he hustles...he hustled enough that hyphen tripped over him on the 10 yard line on the OT play to win against dullas.

How can you knock an o-lineman who is 40 yards down field trying to make plays?

if he was 40 yards down field before the pass was thrown...ya have a point...but he wasnt. The dude is a road grader........ has to keep his head into the snap count though.

It was the Lutui fiasco that caused the Cards to have to overpay for Colledge. Hadnot could have played left guard and Lutui on the right.

I still can't figure out though why Bridges looked solid at LT and looks awful when filling in at RT.

Still say the line should have been left alone with Bridges,X,Sendlein,Lutui, and LBrown. The line that helped generate 890 yards of offense in the two playoff games.

You guys are saying that the team is playing better, wins and losses, but the line is playing worse? Doesn't make sense.

How so? We paid a premium for an average guard, and have our best guard sitting on the bench. That's silly.

I have a difficult time seeing how you can say that the best guard on our team is the same guy who crawled back to our team after he couldn't pass a physical with another team.

I wonder how much the pass blocking stat is affected by the QB holding onto the ball and stepping out of the pocket. No excuse for some piss-poor performances by the fatties, just wondering.

He's the same guy who almost got cut last year because he was so out of shape as well, this ain't a surprise. He looked like a balloon at training camp, and performed far better than any of our linemen last year. I don't see why this year would be any different.

Do they count the seconds the QB gets and wastes?

I didn't see him out perform Sendlein, and Faneca retired because he was so bad. What other option did we have on the roster? Colledge is better, and Hadnot has played well enough to keep his fat ass on the bench.
