The Los Angeles Rams finished the 2024 season as one of the top-10 best teams in the NFL following an NFC West title and Divisional Round loss to the Philadelphia Eagles.
While most of the team remained intact after the first wave of free agency, Los Angeles swapped some key players out to upgrade positions of need. Signing Davante Adams to replace Cooper Kupp was perhaps the biggest, but the Rams also added Poona Ford as its second key interior defensive linemen.
With the dust nearly settled from the spending spree, Pro Football Focus released its initial 2025 NFL power rankings with more than a month to go before the draft. The Rams finished at No. 9 and well ahead of the rest of the team's division but the fifth-best in the NFC.
A lot can change between now and the 2025 NFL Draft — including huge trades, signings and other transactions. But, as PFF said, the Rams made moves to contend for another championship and are poised for another good season under Sean McVay.

"After releasing Cooper Kupp and restructuring Matthew Stafford’s contract, the Rams created enough cap space to make key moves in free agency. They retained Alaric Jackson, acquired Davante Adams and bolstered the defensive line with Poona Ford — signaling that they expect to contend in 2025.
"As always, health will be a major factor, especially with veteran players in key roles. However, if this young defense can take a step forward, the Rams could emerge as the team to beat in the NFC West."
