Do you really feel Conner won’t be our featured back this coming season?
They're not me, but no, not entirely. Benson should automatically take carries away from him on a pretty regular basis. Not to mention Conner misses large swaths of games every year, and if Benson gets on a hot streak during that time... we'll see where things go.

Chemo absolutely ages you.

As does cancer.

Not it the way you are presenting it. I had Chemo 21 years ago. I am in better shape than most of my friends who are the same age as me. Not to mention I have more hair than all of my friends who are around my age.

There are many different types of Chemo treatments and many different types of cancer. When they say that Chemo CAN age you it's not like at 30 years of age I suddenly had the body of a 47 year old. No, I had a higher risk of getting cancer again like someone who was 47 years old. However at age 30 my body was able to fully recover and I was doing the same things that I was doing the year before chemo.

That's rad and I'm absolutely estatic you're healthier. Unfortunately, you're not the norm. My father's Chemo cause liver failure while fighting brain cancer.

Conner had Hodgkin's lymphoma, which hits the immune system. What I quoted before where issues based on his cancer. There are over 100 tyepes of cancer and Chemo/cancer has different effects on everyone. You got extremely lucky as did Conner, but it does mean that it did impact.his body.

If he is a workhorse for us his year, IMHO, we're in trouble. Thankfully we have a nice stable of RBs

Sorry to hear about your dad. Cancer sucks!

What you quoted said "In Some Cases" may experience those issues.

Listen I know that I'm Lucky, and James knows that he is lucky. I remember being the youngest person in the Chemo room by several decades. I would go every two weeks to receive Chemo. I was young and I would bounce right back after treatments other than eventually losing my hair. However I saw how hard it was on the older people sitting next to me as multiple treatments took their toll on them. I always tried to bring a positive energy to the room and tried to lift everyone's spirits because it wasn't a fun place to be.

You always bring positive energy here too! I'm glad you're here and we can have great conversations, even when we disagree!!

In 2023…
Connor was 6th in rushing with 1040 yds. despite missing 4 games.
His 5.0 average was 3rd in the league.
He was 2nd in yards after contact with a 3.9 yard average.
He led the league in 20+ yard runs with 11.
And he did not have a fumble.
Hmmm, that’s no respect!

“I want to turn things around out here. We have a great football team, we’re coached really well, so we want that to reflect on our record and our play. I want to speak up.”

Conner had a career-high 1,040 rushing yards last season despite missing four games, and he’s hoping for another strong season heading into a contract year.

“It would be awesome to finish my career here, but nothing changes,” Conner said. “If anything, it’s time to turn it up even more going into the last year of my deal. I’m thankful I got to see the last year of it, so I’ll go into it with everything I got. We’ll see what happens next year, hopefully stay, but I understand it’s a business.”
