Are you talking about the one Macklin gave the ball to? That was a woman? She looked like a dude.

No earlier they kept panning over to one woman she had a Card fan sitting right next to her that kept making funny faces like he realized they were showing her on camera often.

No she was wearing an Eagles jersey type outfit.

Even my girlfriend who was in and out of the room asked why do they keep showing the lady with the big boobs.

Other heroes I noticed.

1) Foote-he absolutely blew up a blocker & McCoy on the goal line on 3rd down, preventing the Iggles from scoring a TD instead of a FG before our winning drive.

2) Rashad-his play to end the game was a smart, intellegent game winner

3) Carson-what a great raindow pass to win the game. Supposedly he gave John Brown the signal to run that play.

4) Bucannon-perfect coverage & ball skills on the fade that could've crushed us all

Lots of Eagles fan yes (I'd say 30%) but those last Eagle couple drives it was crazy loud.

Its Arizona. Its a great time for an Eagle fan to take a vacation and see a game. Its certainly not an indication of lack of support by Cardinal fans.

Let me add:

5) Smokey Brown-I don't think many realize what a difficult catch is the one the kid made. Over the shoulder, in full stride...the toughest in the book!!!

That's right.
So what about this, not sure if im right or not doing the numbers right, but wouldnt this be possible....

For next year add up all the bonuses its $15,600,000 + league minimum $955,000 = $16,555,000, which I cant imagine fitz wouldn’t take, because he’d get nowhere near that on the open market. You have a difference of $2,155,000 between dead money and lowest salary you can get w/o a huge extension/re-work, any chance they cut Fitz over a $2 million difference in cap hit?
Then cant you convert the $8 million roster bonus to a signing bonus and spread that out over the last 4yrs lowering the cap hit even more?

2016 on almost everything is base, so that is easy to change. Seems like his agent had a plan when they made the contract. If the cap kept going up like everyone thought and Larry was still the best rcvr in football, he get $23 million in 2015, if not, as long as he didn’t beat his kid or became Ocho-Fitzo, the team will be in a position to have to pay him $16 million, because they won’t be able to take the hit with the fans if they cut him over $2 million. All he does is go to the organization and say drop my base to the vet minimum, you let that get out, the story is Larry is working with the team, the team is haggling over $2 million, bang you win the PR battle and get the $16 million.

Does any of this make sense?

The stadium was the fullest it's been in a long time. Even the club level (which doesn't count towards sellouts) was 3/4s full.

Great atmosphere. Yeah, there were a lot of Eagles fans, but they did not outcheer the Cards fans.

Plus, it was AWESOME to see them so depressed after the game. I laughed right in the face of a couple of them who had obviously spent a LOT of time painting their faces and hair for the game.

Bucannon was definitely a hero as was Brown. I would add Carlson to the goat list - actually the entire TE position.

I suppose. He already has $7.35M of prorated bonus money on his 2015 cap number. If you take the $16.25M and convert $15.25M of that into a signing bonus, then his yearly average additional cap hold is $3.81M ($15.25M/4 years remaining on the deal).

His 2015 cap hold would be around $12M ($7.35M + $3.81M + $1M salary).

The problem is what do you do in 2016? He's scheduled for a $15M base salary and would have an additional $5.1M pro-rated bonus. If you cut him, then the $7.5M in accelerated pre-2015 bonus comes into your cap, as does the $11.43M in prorated 2015 bonus.

Cutting Fitzgerald in 2016 under your scenario would yield a dead money penalty of nearly $20M!

Fitz is going to have to give some money back eventually. He can't get paid like a Top 3 wide receiver in the NFL when he might not be among the top 20 receivers in the NFL.

EDIT: BTW, I think that Fitz could pretty easily get $16M in 2015 money if he were released.

I was at the game yesterday, and was surprised and disheartened by the amount of Eagles fans in the stands. To be fair, although I watch nearly very game on TV, I actually go watch a live game about once per year. The Cards fans were amazingly loud, especially in the last few minutes. The Eagles fans were fairly loud though - certainly enough for a rookie game-goer like me to notice and feel bad for the hometown team...

Zach Ertz might disagree with you. That was an amazing grab on a terribly thrown ball.

Nick Foles = Kevin Kolb.

This... It's always funny to hear people comment about this topic who weren't actually at the game. Yes, as is always the case when the Iggles come to town, there were a bunch of Philly fans. I would peg it at somewhere between 20-25%. And they were mainly concentrated on the Iggles side of the field, particularly in the corner of the south end zone in the upper rows of field level seats.
But make no mistake, they were completely squashed by us Cards fans. UoP was ROCKIN yesterday! Felt like post season atmosphere!!

Terribly thrown ball would not have been caught. Did Palmer toss the perfect pass? No... But it was more than good enough to allow Brown to run under it while keeping it away from the two defenders...

Not sure how Tony Jefferson doesn't get a mention... He is the quintessential lunch-pail player. He made several key tackles yesterday, including a few on Shady McCoy who had already juked several other defenders. But when Jefferson locks on, the dude with the ball always hits the turf!

3. University of Phoenix Stadium Ticket Holders. Fitzgerald thanked fans for making UofP "deafening" on Facebook last night. That's not what came across on the broadcast, where there were large swaths of Eagles fans and enormous cheers when calls when for the Eagles.

I'm guessing that over 50% of the upper level on the visitor side is owned by professional scalpers. They are making money off these tickets and the only way to stop visiting fans from coming here is for people here in the valley to pay the inflated prices that opposing teams fans are willing to drop on game day tickets.

Michael Floyd just drops a bunch of balls. Hard to gauge why other than concentration. He may be the most versatile WR we have in terms of size and speed, but I am as confident in him catching that ball as I am rookie John Brown. Color me not impressed by the "budding superstar."

Actually, Brown before this game had his moments of dropping the ball and for the most part Floyd has been consistent till this game

There is no actually...in my opinion, I am as comfortable with Brown catching the ball as I am with Michael Floyd. In fact, Brown has a better drop rate so far this season. Not saying floyd can't get better, but he has been awful so far this season.

FWIW, I think that comparison says more about how wonderful Brown's progressing than it does denigrate Floyd.

Floyd needs to to better catching the ball, no doubt about it. He had at least three big passes just bounce off his hands. That can't happen.

But I also think that Floyd is a superior blocker, route runner, and can run the entire route tree, and I'm not confident that Brown can do those things.

Yet.

Brown gets bombs over his head where Floyd gets bombs while he has two to three guys covering him. I think you are being a bit harsh but he does have a lot of drops this year, they both do. Brown benefits from fitz and floyd being on the field. I dont have full confidence in him doing much else than bombs until he bulks up a little.
