D-Jax has a history of irresponsible behavior as evidenced by missing or arriving late to meetings, throwing up gang signs during games, and allegedly hanging out with gang members with the assumption that he engages in gang-related activities. If you recall, he was suspended from the game against us in 2011 for arriving late to a meeting. By the way, the gang stuff is nothing new. This has followed him since he was drafted. If it's resurfacing now, then there's a reason for it.

I don't think Kelly and co. are stupid enough to release their top-rated receiver without feeling discomfort about his personal life, and they certainly aren't slandering him publicly to save face. Notice how there aren't many people surprised with the move.

It always cracks me up how quickly teams line up to sign a guy like this. Wouldn't it be great to be a fly on the wall in some of these offices to see how they talk themselves in or out of certain players. Would like to have the perspective of both the teams interested and the ones that have the inside scoop who pass or boot the guy. DeSean's perceived sins would be interesting to weigh vs Incognito, Kerry Rhodes, Ray Lewis, Chris Kluwe etc.

I did read the piece. That's why I felt like I could comment on it. You can participate in the culture of gang life without either being in the gang or participating in illegal activity. It sounds like Desean is about as much of a Crip as Snoop Dogg/Lion is.

I don't think Desean is a gang member, but I do think he associates himself with some very questionable individuals. To go along with that, he has always had attitude issues and with a new coaching staff, that can be a problem. Also, there is the money issue and Kelly's views that offensive players are system fits.

I think it is more the former vs the later because there are not many 4.3 40 guys who catch for 1,300 yards that you can just plug into the system. He must have really pissed off Kelly and put fear into the fron office based on his off the field associations.

Jackson has never been in trouble with the law and is an upbeat citizen to his community by donating his time and money to various charities. Stop being a naive ignorant racist.

Listening to this rant, I have a feeling he isn't the one who is ignorant.

He grew up in central Los Angeles. Those are tough neighborhoods. Of course he is going to know guys in the gangs. He has had some minor issues but certainly has not been a problem. He doesn't warrant the negative articles that have come out with his release. He is one damn good football player.

Well for whatever reason this fine upstanding example to youth everywhere who must lead a lifestyle of which nothing is questionable now finds his self out of a job.I guess being such a fine citizen and example to others doesn`t include going to team meetings and playing well with others. You take the dollars you got to obey the rules.

The Chiefs are interested but probably cant afford him. My guess is

he will be a Raider in a few days. Ian Rappaport says they have the

most money to give him. What if they got Jackson and Watkins? Could

Matt Schabs arm reach them?

There's more to this story that we aren't seeing or isn't being told. You simply don't release a top 5 player because he misses team meetings. My guess is more is going to come out in the coming days or weeks.
