The start of play in the Phoenix Open has been delayed because of heavy frost at TPC Scottsdale. After frost and frozen turf wiped out the pro-am round Wednesday, temperatures were in the mid 20s Thursday morning when the first groups were scheduled to tee off. The expected high for the day is 52. Frost delays also are expected Friday morning.

I am sure that no one in town for the Open was expecting this kinda weather. I've got tickets for Saturday. Hope it warms up!

Awesome. Looking forward to it. Never been before.

Oh - you're in for a GREAT day! If you can, try to score Greens Keepers tickets as, IIRC they get you into the big Beer Garden...
Also, be sure to get there early enough to grab a decent seat at the 16th hole. Even if you only stay at the hole for an hour or so, it's so worth it!!! The nost unique golf-watching experience you will ever have!

I was supposed to work Greens Keeper kitchen again this year. But you gotta show up at 4 in the morning with headlamps on with your hands freezing while flash cooking semi-gourmet food outside. Plus I would be loading up all the equipment when everybody else is watching the Superbowl (with free drinks though). Damn good pay, now I regret it. :)
