Eh?

Iguodala is an overpaid 3rd banana like Shawn Marion and Richard Jefferson were at times.
Sorry but Iggy is 27 and in the league for many years now and still a bad shooter and jumpshooter. What you see is what you get.
His scoring average has gone down for 4 straight years. But yes you are right he is an up and coming young player offensively...

One thing about Iggy is that he is an amazing defender. I think he can improve offensively a bit, but even if he doesn't, you can be sure that he will play better defense than Grant Hill.

Having said that, I think Elton would be a better fit. He is not nearly as quick as he used to be, and he is not an amazing rebounder he used to be, but he can still score in the low post, he is still a good defender, and a decent rebounder. He makes more money per year, but his contract is a year shorter than Iggy's. After next season, he becomes an expiring contract.

Philli would need to sweeten the deal though. Some combination of Teddy, Jrue, Lou, picks. You don't just take a horrible contract without getting something positive to go along with the crappy contract.

If the Suns took just Brand for VC they should get at least 2 firsts.

Then again Sarver doesn't own the Sixers.

Andre Iguodala is playing hurt.

The chondromalacia in Iguodala's right knee, a chronic condition that dates back more than 5 years, flared in mid-March.

Had the Sixers been out of the playoff picture, Iguodala would have been shut down.

Instead, he played for the next month. The knee cost Iguodala only the last two games of the regular season, when Sixers management insisted he sit, general manager Ed Stafanski said.

"It hurts, because you can't really lift," Iguodala said. "You go into a jump shot and you feel like it's going to give at times. You feel a pinch. You don't know if the pain is going to come back. You're thinking about it every shot. Every plant. That's probably the toughes

No freaking way I would touch Iguodala.

- overpaid
- can't shoot / 3rd banana on a decent team
- knee issues

A few red flags too many which sucks since I have liked Iggy since he was drafted and badly wanted us to draft him at #7 when we idiots gave away that pick. But the circumstances make Iggy a no-no.

It would be ridiculous to trade for him after passing on keeping Amare.

I would ask for a lot just to take on his contract if we gave up Vince's contract for him and some filler.
