No clear cut winner.
Voted SUNS because we got the best player and gave up very little. Sometimes you have to look past contracts etc...IMO.
We got the best player. We lost a fading bench player and a scrub.

Maybe as a Suns but i can see his numbers improving especially as a starter or with more minutes in Toronto. Which incidentally is one of the factors his stats took a hit.

True but i put no value in that style of play(where Barbosa thrived and won MIP trophies).
You can disagree and thats cool,i just think that Barbosa is just another one dimensional offensive player with very little to offer to 80% of the teams in this league.
Like you said though,Toronto is a best-case destination for Barbs.

Overall, I think Toronto got the worst of this deal by far. They gave up Calderon, who is a good point guard, and I feel the best player in this deal. They gained Leandro's contract, which while a little shorter, is worse than Turkoglu's. I think Charlotte wins this trade for picking up talent to help the team. I think the Suns got out of this deal just fine, picking up a player that could contribute.

Sources: Jordan holding up Raptors trade

By Adrian Wojnarowski, Yahoo! Sports 4 hours, 42 minutes ago

The sudden reluctance of Charlotte owner Michael Jordan has thrust the proposed Toronto-Charlotte trade into jeopardy, multiple league sources told Yahoo! Sports on Monday night.

“Right now, Michael is having second thoughts,” a source with knowledge of the talks told Yahoo! Sports.

The Bobcats had agreed to trade center Tyson Chandler and forward Boris Diaw to the Raptors for guard Jose Calderon and forward Reggie Evans. Players had been contacted earlier in the day and told they were traded. Yet now, everyone has been put into a holding pattern. Jordan, sources said, has been hesitant to trade Chandler.

The trade isn’t dead, the sources said, but the two sides will talk again on Tuesday morning and the Raptors will try to push the deal through to completion. Toronto general manager Bryan Colangelo is anxious to complete the trade.

Toronto is only sure it has an agreement to complete a separate trade to send Hedo Turkoglu to the Phoenix Suns for Leandro Barbosa.

So it seems that the Toronto/Charlotte part of this deal is canceled at the moment. But the Phoenix/Toronto part of the deal is still on, except that we may have to wait a bit longer for it to become official as Toronto explores other options to move Calderon.

Moral of the story, don't trade with the Bobcats. This is apparently the 2nd deal of the off-season they backed out of after their trading partners thought it was done.

Jordan is not helping himself in the long run. Some of the comments he's made about his advantages in the GM game already look to hurt him in dealings with other teams but if he gets this kind of rep it's pretty much over for him.

So I guess the Raptors/Suns trade is not finalized yet? If the Suns are waiting on the Raptors to get other deals done, then at this point I think we should start asking for a draft pick. Because if this trade gets canceled too, the Suns stand to lose nothing in the process, as Barbosa will be more than happy to return (I presume). But Turkoglu, already unhappy in Toronto, will be even more disgruntled, and good luck finding another team for which he'll be willing to waive the trade kicker and make some salary non-guaranteed.

I don't think we have all that much leverage. I don't think you can get any more gruntled than he already was.

It's like Jordan and LeBron James are competing to see who can tarnish his own image the most efficiently.
