There was an article talking about the Jeffries signing and how David Lee and Mo Taylor would see their minutes drop dramatically.

With all that, I thought why not try to grab him for the Suns. Maybe something like Burke, Jones and either the Cavs pick or the Suns pick next year for Frye and Lee. Or if push came to shove, maybe something like KT, Jones and Burke (+ may be a pick) for Crawford, Frye and Lee.

Either way, we'd get a huslte guy that I feel is better than Jones, plus a guy in Frye that would do wonders here with Phoenix. I know a lot of people are down on Jerome James, but he did great for Seattle, when they incorporated the Run-n-Gun style like the Suns. I think he could be had instead of Crawford to help establish the frontline.

Is this a joke? Even Isiah isn't dumb enough to trade Frye and Lee for a draft pick in the 20s, a marginal NBA player, and a guy who belongs in the CBA.

Just a thought. And what has Ike done, that hasn't had people anywhere close to basketball intellegence not think he does stupid trades and deals? For Ike, he might like the idea of getting KT back. Plus Jones isn't really a starter, so he would be fine sitting on the bench as a back-up. My main thought was trying to find a way to get David Lee and possibly Frye from NY.

Welcome to the home of one sided trade proposals. :D

I'd like to see the Suns take a crack at getting David Lee, but I don't think the Suns are going to offer anything Issah would be interested in.

The only way you're getting back both Frye and Lee from NY would be one of the core players (Marion, Diaw, Amare, Nash) going to the Knicks but obviously the Suns would not do that. And the Knicks have labeled Frye as basically untouchable.

Post that trade on a Knick board and note their response.

Speaking of Ike? How is Diogu? When is Golden State going to sour on him so we can lure him to Phoenix and develop him into an All-Star? That is the guy I want - even more than Channing Frye... and I like Frye a lot.

It doesn't matter what NY fans want or don't want. How many times in the last 3-4 years has it mattered what the FANS want or if it makes the Knicks a better team? Do you think NY fans were wanting Renaldo Balkman in the first round for the Knicks? Hell no. They were wanting, yet another gaurd in Williams. Isiah hasn't shown a bit of intelligence when it comes to the Knicks and the moves that they make, so why would he start now? Everyone on this board has cracked on him and the knicks organization for the moves they've made and most have proposed a trade or two that every GM in the league would shoot down except Isiah. This is another example of trying to throw him under the bus in NY again. If we could trade cheaper salaries for NY's cheaper salaries where do the Suns go wrong. Unless you've seen Isiah make a move that hasn't royally sucked for NY, then you shouldn't say anything about this proposal. Is anything like this gonna happen? Most likely not, because the Suns I think will pretty much stand pat with what they've got unless they can grab a player or two that can help THIS YEAR with getting rid of KT. Isiah has come out and said numerous times that the Q for KT trade was stupid and he wished he had KT back. With the Knocks having some guys that would flourish with the Suns and help, why not try a trade proposal for a couple of them for KT? That's all I was asking of you all.

Why would we trade KT back to NYK? That makes no sense at all.

Ok. Break it down....

Suns trade #7 pick to Chicago to get a future pick.

Suns trade Chicago pick so they can sign Q.

Suns trade Q to get KT.

***Here it is.....Suns trade KT, Jones and Burke for Frye, Lee and either James or Crawford.***

Now all played out, isn't Frye, Lee and James/Crawford better than the pick, Q, or KT?

Add to that the fact that the Knicks wouldn't trade away Frye, like many on here have said. He is probably their most untouchable player on the entire roster, and you think they would trade him to us for a guy with probably 2 years left in the league? Come on now.

Wow! Cheese and Chaplin are actually agreeing on something. Jlove's ridiculous trade scenario has united mortal enemies.

Thank you jlove.

this is just getting worse and worse.

Frye>>>>>KT
Crawford>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Jones
Lee>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Burke

i dont see where any of this makes sense, and how is this a fair trade. go post this over at realgm and see what everyone says. $10 says it gets deleted.

I would not trade James Jones for J Crawford. Crawford's contract is awful, and he pretty much sucks.

Crawford had those monster games a few years ago, but his overall game was never that strong. He's a classic combo guard, not a good enough shooter to be a shooting guard and not a good enough playmaker to be a point guard. :thud:

Despite the fact that it's almost three in the morning, George O'Brien still comes through with some good analysis.

What would make sense for the Knicks and the Suns is the Suns trading one of their first round picks and throwing in Burke for cap purposes for David Lee. With the signing of Jefferies they are overloaded at the forward positions and Lee is young and I think would fit beautifully into the Suns system. He can shoot and is athletic... and the Knicks need 1st round picks because Thomas traded away all of theirs for eddy curry... that trade makes some sense for both clubs...

It makes sense, but I can't imagine Issah doing something simply because it makes sense. ;)

Seriously, I get the impression he wants to package his young guys with his dead weight contracts to try to trade out of the mess he's in.

But that is a draft day deal... not a start of the season one.

Anyone know about the status of Malik Rose in New York? I know his stats were down last year and he is now age 32.

He used to be a real thorn in the side of Phoenix. IMO, if he could play for Phoenix like he did for San Antonio, he could really help the Suns. I have mentioned his name a couple of times but I don't recall any comments.

Perhaps he is out of gas or he has a large contract. Also he is a bit undersized for a banger and not a good outside shooter as I recall... but I sure used to like his game in San Antonio.

Anyway, it almost seems like he disappeared, not that D'Antoni would like or use him. I'd prefer to get a David Lee out of New York... but you don't always get what you want.

He has a really terrible contract. I honestly cannot fathom what Issah was thinking when he made that deal. He did get some picks, but Spurs picks aren't worth much until Duncan retires.
