Hope the Mavs come away with the win. I don't think we have to worry too much about the Knicks...for now.

I will keep my eye on the Knicks in any case... can't trust those Knicks.

The good news is the Knicks could lose out and the Suns still likely wouldn't catch them...The Knicks have 5 more wins than the Suns.

I'm a lot more concerned about Atlanta. They only have one easy game left in their schedule against Orlando. Meanwhile, we face Magic, Kings, and Mavs.

I've given up on Atlanta winning. The Knicks much the same as well as the Grizzlies.

What I do to keep my sanity is to figure out how far the Suns can fall and still get a great pick. I'm guessing somewhere around number 8.

Pre-tournament mock drafts are out--kinda cool seeing us having 3 picks, even if we don't use them all. Almost all that I saw had us at #2, but they had Doncic as the #1 pick to Memphis, while Ayton universally was to us (one had us drafting Mo Bamba at #2). 15 and 16 were almost all different players from mock to mock.

ESPN just released their most recent mock. Projected the Suns at #1 with Ayton! I'll take it!

We're currently 5 full games (and 4 wins) behind the Bulls, who are currently 8th, so it's looking promising from that perspective.

I'd filter out whoever had Bamba as the 2 pick in this draft.

This is good. I always look at worst case scenario so I will not be disappointed. If the Suns land earlier in the draft it's all good.

A person can go crazy watching the scores and standings... which I do anyway.

Do you have any links? There are a ton of mock draft sources out there and I'm always looking for more. The only one I check regularly is NBADraft.net and I don't believe they take fit into the equation.

Yeah it's good to know our rock bottom...7th slot? Looking at the teams involved and their schedules I'd say 3rd slot is our highest we can achieve. Atlanta and Memphis will beat us out IMO. Considering all that 4th and 5th spot feel about right.

I really really don't want to drop below 4th because we might need that little wiggle room post lottery gods wrath.

Two words. Patrick Ewing.

NBA has the final say.

I could have been happy with Karl Malone but I think he refused to workout for the Suns because he didn't think he would fall that far... something like that.

The Suns drafted Ed Pinckney instead.

It was unfortunate about Nick Vanos.

Most of them do not take fit, but a couple did.

All of these have us taking Ayton.

Here's the list of players I strongly want to be a part of this team's future:

1. Devin Booker
2. Our Top Pick
3. Josh Jackson

That's pretty much it at this point.

I would swap 2 and 3. Jackson is a hit. Who knows if the top pick amounts to anything. Could be another Len/Chriss/Bender high potential low floor kid.

It pretty much depends on who we get; I'm trying to be an optimist. I look at it this way...As long as there is a chance we get Ayton, I'd be more upset if we traded that unprotected pick than if we traded Josh.

Yes, that makes sense.

Nice debate but a lot of season is left. Just a few wins could sink our draft.

Pokerface you do realize they do the ping- pong balls behind close doors. Why would the NBA give us the number one pick? I myself have written letters of death to the commish if we don't get the number one pick.
