Why does it seem the car is always parked outside and the people are always home?

They act like it aint set up, but it is so obvious that it is

This is the best show on TV. PERIOD

I love how the whole thing is staged. It's almost like a John Waters movie. The rap guy that hosts the show is hysterical and the things they do to those people's cars crack me up.

I mean why would anybody put a bathtub in the back of a van? Or a mini waterfall in the center console?

Did you see the one where they put mini TV monitors on the fenders?

I love the way the rap guy is always looking for sexual innuendo and the ridiculous meeting they have to discuss what they'll do to each car.

Everything about the show is the same each episode except the car itself.

I still think they should do a follow up show or episode.

What happens to these cars after they have been pimped?

How many end up stolen or how many owners part it out and sell off all the electronics and pimped out parts on the car.

I have always wondered if they make them sign a contract stating that they cant sell the car. I mean they dump 60,000 into a car im sure they would be pissed if the guy sold it the next day. I wonder how much a pimp my ride car would get on Ebay.

I know that's the crazy thing. I saw them pimp a Pacer? They put about $60,000 into a Pacer.

What would you rather have A "Pimped" Pacer or a brand new $60,000 Mercedes, Lexus, whatever?

That's just another one of the mysteries that make this show so hysterical.

Have they ever "pimped' a car that is considered a true classic? Every car I can remember was the opposite of classic. Pacer, mini vans, 88 dodge truck. tons of really ugly Japanese junk, mostly 70's and 80's garbage.

I'd like to see that one.

Didn't they do the stars for some teenage girl?

The paint jobs are what give the cars that "pimped" look. With classy paint jobs the show would have to change its name.

I saw the popcorn maker and projector. I don't remember it being a 55 Chevy.

No the chevy was Big Bertha.

The movie theater one was a later model convertable.

It was a Cavalier I think.

The reason the people are at the door is because it is a competition thing between production teams. So, each team sets up their candidate to wait in their location to see who shows up at the door to keep the element of surprise real. Whether it is X or some other person with consolation stuff.
