Written by : Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg

Directed by : David Gordon Green

Starring: Seth Rogen, James Franco, Bill Hader, Gary Cole, Rosie Perez, Danny McBride, Craig Robinson

Plot: Lazy stoner Dale Denton has only one reason to visit his equally lazy dealer Saul Silver: to purchase weed, specifically, a rare new strain called Pineapple Express. But when Dale becomes the only witness to a murder by a crooked cop and the city's most dangerous drug lord, he panics and dumps his roach of Pineapple Express at the scene. Dale now has another reason to visit Saul: to find out if the weed is so rare that it can be traced back to him. And it is. As Dale and Saul run for their lives, they quickly discover that they're not suffering from weed-fueled paranoia; incredibly, the bad guys really are hot on their trail and trying to figure out the fastest way to kill them both. All aboard the Pineapple Express.

The more I see the trailers on tv the more I want to watch this movie.

If anybody (like me) was wondering what that song is it's Paper Planes by M.I.A.

Oddly enough I completely disagree with Shane.
I've never smoked pot, but but my wife and I laughed the whole time.
If you like what Seth Rogen does, you'll probably like this.

It's got some very funny, honest dialogue.

I like Seth Rogan a lot. This movie was just blah. I found the dialogue very booring. I laughed out loud a few times but not enough to make it worth the price of admission.

I agree. Most the best slapstick comedy moments are in the trailer. I laughed at some of the more subtle jokes but the movie wasn't as good as I thought it'd be.

So far I'm in the minority. I guess it just illustrates folks and their strokes and whatnots.

This movie was great. Far, far better than Superbad. If you just like overloads of *** jokes and the like, then Superbad's for you. If, as has been said, you like some honest humor mixed in there with your stupidity, Pineapple Express is for you. I found it an excellent comedy, blending lowbrow humor with a few characters I could really relate to. I dug it a lot.

Met? Yes. Can I realate? Absolutely not!

I can relate to Saul because he's an open and honest person who is very trusting. I can relate to Dale because I tend to date younger women :D J/K Dale is kind of the everyman who gets to a better place after all of his [outrageous] adventures. You can't relate to that?

Recently watched it. These guys never disappoint. So far I've loved every movie that this group of friends has put out. And I'm glad they don't try to clean it up and go for the pg13 rating like most of the comedies nowadays.

The supporting characters they add in are outstanding. In this one it was the girlfriend's father. I laughed every time he spoke.

Tons of great lines in this one, they even used one of my favorite goofy sayings: "No retreat No surrender!"

The first marijuana themed comedy to gross over $100 million worldwide.
They keep track of just about everything don't they.

Wow, this movie was sooooo MEH. I was bored at some parts, and only laughed out loud once or twice.

I thought Craig Robinson (Darryl from The Office) was freaking hilarious! As was the dude who drove that silly car. Franco is hot as HELL and was fun to look at. Rogen has his moments too (being funny, not hot). Overall, meh.
