IMO, I think in the recesses of Pippen's mind he thinks he made Jordan and he deserved more of the glory that Jordan got hence the envy to anoint another king... King James.

As if winning a championship is really all that important in the grand scheme of life.

But if that's all one thinks they've done, then I guess lashing out based on perceived slights is all one petty person can do.

Sad that when people focus on bs their whole life, they then feel the need to control that memory, because it's sadly all they've got. (and they can't change it...their big contribution is history and in stone. locked in.)

Human beings should focus on more tangible things that actually progress the species. (and as an aside an nba championship experience should rest. the world isn't all Hollywood, and if it was, what a pathetic experience that would be). Just goes to show you, society is all screwed up, we taught generations all they had to do was accomplish bs, and their legacy would be set. Yep, set as a person who didn't accomplish squat. Even with 1000 championships. The baby doom generation, lost as hell, and they ain't going nowhere or doing anything. They decided sophistry was everything, until they realized (or still need to) that it meant nothing and everything crashed around them. (and will)

Now people like Pippen feel the need to fight for a legacy that doesn't amount to nothing in the real world. So sad. Like a burned out rockstar trying to fight for credit amongst band mates for the one hit they had 30 years ago. Gee what else could you be proud of for the past 30 years? (or outside of championships with jordan) Nothing. Yep, and society told them at the time he'd 'done it', whatever that was supposed to mean. It turns out it was all hollow. Because the championships should have been a springboard to actually doing something tangible to pull people/society up not an end all be all. At least Jordan tried to do something else, even if it wasn't really anything tangible, it was breaking some barriers. Pippen? Around more blowhards at ESPN and other places of sophistry spouting sophistry to explain what amounts to nothing on a daily basis about something that doesn't even need to exist (but of course we like it and it should exist).

How anyone could be content is beyond me....you have to spend time actually doing something for that to happen. For some might be raising kids, others building or inventing something. The list is endless as long as it really changed things for the better for someone or all of us. Otherwise one might feel the need to grasp at straws. Even what once filled them with fulfillment can't fill the hollow shell left behind when all the fame and glory fades with time. DO something, or risk feeling like Busted Nose Pippen and look petty. Feeling the need to elevate LeNero so that somehow he feels a bigger reason for his championships, that really mean nothing in the grand scheme. Truly sad. Sounds like birds of a 5 cent head, flock together. (yeah probably too much analyzing, but it is a real generational plight that said generation is facing, and it does appear Pippen is caught up in it)
