Why does it seem like players shoot 60% from 3 with Benders hand in their face?

The same could be asked of Chriss. It's too early to give up on 20 year players with talent.

I am not high on Chriss. However, there is no way I would put him and Bender in the same boat. Chriss shows flashes of being athletic, a good rebounder and decent scorer... Bender? Seriously, what flashes does he put out? Ever?

How about this.

In what was easily the best games of their young careers, Dragan Bender, the fourth overall pick in 2016, and Josh Jackson, the fourth overall pick in 2017, combined for 37 bench-points to help lead the Phoenix Suns past visiting Oklahoma City, 114-100, in front of a sold out Talking Stick Resort Arena on Sunday night.

Bender set career-highs in points (20), field goals (seven), 3-pointers (six) and minutes (39). He tied his career-high in assists with four while adding six rebounds and three blocks.

OK... he had a game. Virtually every other second of his playing time, he's been significantly worse than pathetic. No athleticism. No instincts. No passing ability. No rebounding ability and certainly no shooting ability. Seriously, he sucks. Like bigtime!

This wasn't his only good game. I understand your feelings though. I hoped he would show more early as well.

I don't believe in either player. But I'd give Chriss a less than 1% chance of becoming an NBA starter level player and I'd put it at 10% for Bender. But I'm a homer so I've probably inflated the chances for both players.

Oh come on, man, it's fine to criticism him, but that's just making crap up. No passing ability? Seriously? He is a very good passer, good defender, and a good shooter. He is barely 20 years old, if that. Give him crap for bein g passive, not physically strong yet, not going for 70% rebounds. There is plenty of stuff to give him crap for, but passing and long-range shooting are not among them.

Bender drives the ball to the basket but misses, however, he follows up his miss for 2 points.

Atlanta beats Utah tonight. This was an unexpected present.

With Booker and Warren both injured is there any combination of players that wouldn't look like the tank was in full effect?

JMHO, but the future is not looking bright for Payton, Peters, Harrison and Ulis.

Great to see how gifting Bender the starting roll this year . Shows everyone go out and do nothing for thirty plus minutes me to keep your spot. Sorry Chriss should have still started this year over Bender and that is not saying much.

I don't agree with this. Chriss was gifted the starting job before, having it all season last year and he had it for the first half of this year. His attitude and play cost him that job. If 2 players suck about equally I'd rather see the one with a good attitude get the playing time. Especially when that player is also a better shoot and doesn't clog the lane. Neither should be starting but the Suns lack frontcourt talent. It's sad that Williams could earn the starting job in his first game back if he puts together a decent game.
