My wife really liked the first one. She thought the second was OK. I just can't bring myself to take her to the third. I told her it has to be a rental.

The family is huge Pitch Perfect fans. Whenever it is on TV it always ends up being watched. I've probably seen it over 30 times. Never gets old.

As for PP3. I thought it was solid. Better than #2 IMO. Still a fun ride and worth a watch.

Nice. Never knew I would like a girl acapella movie, but they have been pretty funny.

Finally got a chance to see this. I echo MadCard’s review - I definitely liked it better than the 2nd one.

Only a few of Bert’s Choo Choo moments (mainly Fat Amy scenes). Overall was a fun movie and ended things nicely. Fun time all around.

I agree Kate. :) The choo choo moments didn't bother me too much because I felt like most of the time they were making fun of "guy movies" with all the corny action. Fat Amy's fight scene was a perfect example. With movie tricks and fight choreography, they can make literally anyone look like a ninja. lol

When we left my sis asked me if I liked it and I said; "yeah it was really silly but I enjoyed it overall."

Was a fun trilogy and tons of good music. I love acapella music. Will always love the first one but will most likely never watch any of the sequels ever again.

this one hit HBO last week so I finally got to see it.

It wasnt horrible.

I remember when the first one came out and I was adamantly against wasting any part of my life on a chickapella flick....turns out I really like chickapella....who knew?

thus...it wasnt horrible....

but it wasnt that good.

you make an entire movie about a group of girls with amazing vocal skills.....then they do almost no vocalizing

But it wrapped it all up fairly well. I watched it when my hormones were low since my pharmacy ran out... but it brought a tear to my eye when the Bellas went out on stage,...just like they should...sadly, the ending was actually the best part of the movie

My daughters loves these movies but the wife and I thought they should have not gotten way from the college story line so quickly because it really gave them nowhere to go after the initial movie.

I agree...college is generally 4-5 years...easy enough to drop a person or have a fifth or even sixth year senior....or a graduate student, lol.

I didnt mind #2 even if the loveusallequallygirlycamp thing was kinda sucky... but adding that young gal (Hayley stenfeld?)...girls voice is awesome...and a Katey Sagal sighting on top of it....and using Fat Amies crotch shot to the president was a plot line was pretty hilarious really. The only way that could have been better was if Bill Clinton had been the pres...and the bellas go back to the hotel after the show...but Amy dont show up til morning...and she is all disheveled and has a box of cigars to share with the girls... then the little chinese chick asks quietly..." ewww...why does it smell like that?"
