It's crazy to look at a list like this and realize that there is not one position where we have a giant gaping hole on our current roster.

How about the DLinemen...any of those guys a big fatbody that could fill some space next to Dockket?

I hate to be the bad news Nazi over here, but I would say QB is a major gaping hole wouldn't you?

I mean even if Warner lasts through the season (which is highly unlikely) where does this leave the Cards for 06? I still don't think the QB of this team is on the roster right now! Like I have been spouting for years, the Cards are gonna have to bite the bullet and draft one!

Gabe Watson is the man?

Being a fanatic wolverine fan as well as the Cardinals, I can tell you the Gabe Watson is an incredible athelete at 6'4" 335 for a DL. At times he is unstoppable force. However, his conditioning could be better. Last year he was in a 3-4 that hurt him with double and triple teams. This year michigan will have more 4 man lines. He should be a force. Unfortunately, if he has a great senior year he will likely be a top 8 pick. Hopefully we will be drafting in the 20's

Why wouldn't Warner last the season? With a terrible Giants team last season he still completed over 62% of his passes and had 6 TD's to 4 INT's in the 9 games he started. Plus, he isn't even 34 years old yet.

If he gets decent protection, and with the Cards' receiving corps, I can see Warner playing another 3 or 4 years easy.

I agree With Renz. Warner didn't get hurt last year he was pulled mainly because the team was real bad. No line , no RB. I don't know if he will go the whole season nobody does. But, if he can complete over 60% of his passes with us, look out top of the division.

I hope I'm wrong but I think the only reason Kurt didn't get hurt last year was he didn't play a full year.

He played in 10 games and had 12 fumbles, 4 lost. Started 9 of his 10 games, was sacked 39 times or one of every 7 pass attempts or one of every 8 times he went back to pass(adding sacks to pass attempts).

Manning, who was horrible BTW, played in 9 games, 3 fumbles, one lost, was sacked 13 times or once every 15 pass attempts or once every 16 times he went back to pass. So a rookie playing horribly was sacked essentially half as often as Warner was on the same team with the same blocking.

I wouldn't call Tiki Barber no RB either, he had over 1500 yards rushing last year.

I'm still iffy on Kurt, he's better than Josh for sure but I am just terrified that he's going to do the same things here he's been doing elsewhere in recent years with respect to sacks and fumbles.

...And I may very well be sucking down too much Kool-aid on the QB situation.

I have felt from the day we signed Kurt that we basicly had a 50-50 shot at winning the Div or being very very bad. It all depends on which Kurt we get.

I do like Navare very much though and hope that he turns out to be our Tom Brady.

Ya never know though, NOONE expected Warner or Brady to do what they did in their first full seasons.

But no matter what happens, you cant deny that Warner / McCown / Navare is a HELL of a lot better than Plummer / McCown / Parsons.
