... according to those 2 dudes on the radio. Some of the veterans want Derek to start. Speculation, of course, is Fitz/Dockett are leading the charge. Very telling that Cris Carter, of all people, keeps ragging on Matt.

After practice today Matt was quoted as saying "there's something going on and he wants an explanation" since he feels he has outplayed the competition.

Stay tuned ...:grabs:

Well, he does know the team well and has seen every single practice, off season workout, and talks to the players off record.

Matts outperformed all QB's in the NFL. The players have a problem with that? the coach has a problem with that?
I have a problem with them!

No he hasn't. Where do you come up with this crap. he has lead one scoring drive the whole pre-season.

The one drive where they actually scored 40 out of the 46 yards they went were gained on the ground by THT.

Why are you so delusional?

Fitz wants someone who will throw it long to him as much as possible. Can't say I blame him, but he should not be the deciding factor.

All of them? Really? He's outperformed the Mannings, Brady, Rodgers, Brees?

If we could only convince the other GMs in the league of this, we could make a great trade. I'd take one of those previously mentioned "under performing" QBs for Matt anyday.

Of course. What's more disappointing is that he's using Cris Carter as his mouthpiece? I mean, c'mon ...

Why is that disappointing?? It happens more than you know. Would you prefer Fitz simply started spouting off everytime a mic was stuck in front of him? Why would/should Fitz or any other player do that?

Secondly, I really doubt that Fitz called Carter and said, "hey man - need ya to do me a solid - when you can, give Matty some grief on the air will ya? Thanks bro...".

If Carter felt comfy with Matty, I don't think he would be trashing Matty on air like he's been...

Generally people don't have any confidence in or respect for spoiled brats who don't take their craft seriously. Matt is Jake Plummer 2.0 - another immature party boy who never dedicated himself to the game that gave him so much except at least Jake had moxie and confidence once the whistle blew.

Of course not, silly. But who the heck is Carter that he has to mouth off on stuff Fitz has told him?

I dunno... I think Carter is mainly commenting on what he has seen himself. Perhaps sprinkled with some peppa from his boy Larry! ;)

For the 1,967,345th time Dockett does not play offense. :mulli:

Well.... he should!!! I still remember that interception he had where his helmet was ripped off and he still was battling!! O man - maybe this is the answer to our crappy running game!!! :p

Well actually he has. So maybe that's what happened. Dockett went to CKW and told him that he (DD) wouldn't play FB anymore if Leinart was the QB. End of Matt's career in the AZ.

You know, those 2 that like to read this board for material. :)

DB and MJ.

if Jurecki is truly reporting that -- it does carry some weight with me --

in general, Jurecki's sources are all players. Accordingly, his information on stuff in the locker room, or on the field typically has validity.

Stuff about front office stuff usually does not.

Seriously Smell, have you seen Aaron Rodgers line this preseason?

Its okay to have an opinion but at least have one for a reason. Otherwise read what the other posters have to say who put together coherent sentences and have actual intellectual opinions on the subject.
