from Urbans blog.

A handful of players changed jersey numbers after the roster cuts. Safety Rashad Johnson goes from No. 41 to 49; long snapper Mike Leach goes from No. 48 to 82; cornerback Greg Toler goes from No. 32 to 28; and tight end Dominique Byrd went from No. 39 to 86.

Man! I knew I should have waited to buy that authentic #48 Leach jersey... I just wanted to wear it to the preseason games soooo badly...

49 is such a strange # for a FS. I see 49 and think of a scrub at camp that gets the axe at the 1st cut.

49 was Rashad's college #. I was surprised he didn't get that when he was drafted, I don't think anyone had it. I like 28 for Toler over 32. I don't know why, I just do. 20's seem better than 30's for DBs.

Surprised Toler Gave Up #32.

Goes to show you - Granted Toler is a DB, but if I were a RB or DB, the number I'd want (outside of my lucky #48) would be #32 because OJ Anderson wore it and Jim Brown wore it.

It's kind of the "11" of RB numbers.

So would that mean that 21 is the "80" of DB numbers?
I've always liked 20s for DBs and 30s for RBs. ;)
