I don't know any of them personally and don't dislike any of 'em. What I dislike more than anything though is guys like Brady and Manning, as examples, who are so politically correct it's just sickening. Fitz is like that to an extent, but what spares him from this argument is that we have proof of his selfishness in years past.

Just because you can get in front of a camera and smile and say what people want to hear doesn't make you a good person. That drives me insane.

It's media driven, and I despise them maybe most of all. They play this game where they build dudes up so they can tear them down, then they want and demand the apology, so these politically correct dudes stand up and say sorry, it was taken out of context, that's not what I meant. Yes, it is what you meant.

I have more respect for dudes who refuses to apologize, to be honest. At least they're real. People hate on dudes like TO, but look at his #s. He never physically hurt anyone. But because he never gave the apology people wanted to hear he's a villain. Yet rapists and abusers and even murderers get off because of some weak ass public apology. That's ridic, and that's what I dislike most.

I just watched the video of Docket going back to the house where his mother was murdered. Wow. His view of things is so skewed. I understand him wanting to think of his mother in the best light but his concept of ethics is seriously flawed because of his background.

1. Saw his mom with thousands of dollars and drugs in the house and looked at it as her loving him and choosing a life of crime to provide for him. Didn't seem to consider that she was subjecting him to a dangerous and violent environment for the sake of her habit and income.

2. When mom came to bail him out of jail, she asked him "Did you do it?" His answer. "yes" Then she said, "Did anyone see you do it?" His answer, "No." Then she said, "Then you didn't do it. If no one saw you do it, you didn't do it." He interpreted that as his mom having his back. Never considered that being honest, and owning up to your mistakes is an important part of being a man.

Are you assuming the apology isn't honest? What does "get off" mean? Rapists and abusers should still face appropriate consequences regardless of an apology.

I have alot more respect for someone who says, "I did it and I was wrong and I am willing to face the consequences" than the guy who refuses to admit he did it, or refuses to admit he was wrong. I am sure that there are limits to what you are saying. A guy rapes a girl and then says he didn't do anything wrong? Surely you don't mean that.

Can you give an example of someone getting off because of an apology?

Exactly. Its easy to say this is what you should do when you've never been in those positions. It's easy to judge people.

We don't know what his mother went through. Maybe that's how she knew how to love and provide for her son. I once heard something about being a father. If you think your dad is cold or hard on you remember he's giving you more than he got.

Now Docketts mom clearly made an impact on him considering 90 grew up to be a fine man and loving father and extremely successful when he had all the excuses in the world to go the other way.

I just wish it ended better in AZ for him.

Cam Newton, admire his game tremendously....can't stand his need to showboat on EVERY first down. He sulks like a little bitch in every loss as well, wasn't till last week where I had to witness his "wrap head in Gatorade towel and sulk" BS.

Why do people just seem to hate Cam so much... Well I know why.

He does that win or lose he wraps his head in that towel every single game. He had an endorsement deal with Gatorade.

Haters gonna hate

Agree. It's just like his baby cradle celebration when people didn't even know he just had a newborn. It's ridiculous IMO. People get hateful over nothing. We're a society that likes to point fingers.

(edit: it's too bad most of you don't look at yourselves, rather than pointing fingers, because we all know you have some nasty habits, and some despicable character traits)

Hmm, Watched 6 or 7 Panthers games this season.. Woulda swore that was the first time I saw him try to disappear behind the Gatorade towel this year.

Early in Cam Newton’s career, when the Carolina Panthers were losing more than they won, how Newton responded to losses became part of the narrative for the franchise quarterback.
The Gatorade towels he pulled over his head, his “suggestion box” comment after a loss to the Giants in 2012 – all of it became fodder for the critics.
Now that the Panthers are 7-0 and the last unbeaten team in the NFC, Newton’s sideline sulking from his first two seasons seems like a long time ago.

Nope Google Cam Newton Gatorade towel plenty of pictures with him smiling wearing it. It's a sideline thing with him it's just what he does.

He even has that towel draped on him in his new "lucky tub" Gatorade commercial.

Yeah forget all the work he does in the community which by all accounts is ALOT. It's his towel that makes him a jerk lol

If you were in fights as a kid like I was, they usually started with a comment like... 'I don't like your face', simple as that, nothing else going on.

I don't like Cam Newton's face, simple as that, nothing else going on.

Edit to add: I don't like Petey Carroll's face either...:D

If Docket is a fine man and loving father, I think you credit his uncle who took him under his wing as a 13 year old, introduced him to the game of football, and made a man out of him. You have to give Dockett credit too.

Newton is an idiot with his show boating but it's harmless it's embarrassing that people defend him
