Give me a break, you are basing your debate on one draft publication. I'm saying that many draft analysts have Joseph higher or very close to Giles and because I chose him you are now telling me that I don't understand the importance of getting talent in the draft. Amazing.

Hey, for what it's worth, Scouts Inc has Joseph rated third to Giles, as well, but it has Joesph rated 10 points lower in thier draft grade. TSN has Joseph rated second behind Giles, but their draft grade is almost a full point lower than Giles's, and Lutui is graded as an OT and not an OG in the TSN guide.

So you're right, but what you're saying is that we had Calvin Pace rated behind Terrell Suggs at DE, so Pace was a good value. But that's not the case, because there were better values on the board. I don't know how many examples some of you guys need to figure it out: It's a bad idea to reach for need in the draft. You always end up regretting it.

No body in their right mind would take Calvin Pace in the first round. One should always pick the best player available regardless of position especially in the first round. That is common sense. Why are you always trying to lecture people that have a difference of opinion? I'm 63 years old and have been following pro football and the draft for over 50 years. You are 26 years old and think that you are an expert over everyone else on the board.
What's funning is you keep this going mainly because I had the Cardinals picking Davin Joseph with their second pick. Not answering any more of your posts. They are nonsense and the board expects mature behavior.

I propose we trade for DEN's 2 first ronders for #41 and next years #1.

Round 1 - a) Vernon Davis b) Michael Huff c) Vince Young

Round 1 - a) Jimmy Williams b) Marcedes Lewis

Round 1 - Omar Jacobs

Round 3 - a) Andrew Whitworth b) Jonathan Lewis

Round 4 - a) Mike Degory b) Derek Morris

Round 5 - Steve Breaston

Round 6 - Donovan Raiola

Round 7 - Will Allen

We don't need a OLB or CB. OL can wait till third round.
Elton Brown, Darryl Blackstock, and Eric Green should fill holes in their respective positions. We need a FS, TE and QB. A good DT can be found in either Round 3 or 4 to back up Clancy and Dockett. Plus we stil don't know who else will be brought in as FA so this list could change.
I don't think we could afford to pay 3 1st rounders in one season...

  1. 1. Nagata/ Huff/ Young
  2. 2. Pope/ Giles/Wright
  3. 3.Whitworth/Wroten/Lewis(Mercedes
  4. 4.Slay/Smith/Matua
  5. 5.Hester/Watkins/Minter
I listed these in order of what I think would be available and how we would go if certain guys were gone. I was a homer on the Brad Smith pick in the 4th rd as he might be there in the 5th. Later in the draft we have to find a kick returner and some decent depth at Cb and saftey. I wanted a MLB with the 2nd pick but believe the Seahawks will take Hodge and Pope would be a better value if he is there. I would look to best Lineman available in the 6th and 7th and see if we could snag another Wells for depth.
I went back and saw this from a month a go and I would still draft in this fashion right down the line. The only change would be that I might look to go with a guard in the third. Duece Latui would work for me.

Bravo Bravo. A standing ovation for that reply.
